The sun was slowly setting, disappearing behind a mountain of trees. I turned from the open window to go find the oven mitts, so I could attend to the oven that was beeping at me.The food it baked was now finished. Carefully without burning myself I pulled out my homemade mac and cheese. I filled up two glasses of ice water and got out the baby blue glass plates. Once the mac and cheese cooled a little bit I scooped some of its deliciousness out onto the plates. It came out perfect the inside was creamed with cheese and the top had a little broiled crunch to it. I took both, plated, to the table and we started to have our dinner.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, Genma might stop by later for tea," I told her after I took a sip of water.

"Oh, really! Are you two getting closer now? I mean I guess you are since you are going to be spending almost every day together you might as well get to know each other," She smirked "Maybe he can get a date out of you?" I just gave her a look that said don't say another word. "Come on, I know you like him. Every female in the village does and if they don't there's something wrong with them. I also wouldn't mind calling him my grandson-in-law!"

No she did not. "Please just don't say any of that while he's here," I blushed just thinking about it. I took the empty plates to the kitchen to wash them. Then, just did some general cleaning before Genma gets here.

Other than the sound coming from the t.v., the only things you could hear were the crickets and Ali's breathing as she slept on the couch. *Ding dong* Seconds after the doorbell went off Grandma Marcy looked over to the couch Ali was on. "No wonder why she didn't leap up to answer the door, she's fast asleep," Marcy said to herself as she got up to let her expected visitor in. "Hello my favorite ninja in the whole world," Marcy greeted Genma after opening the door.

"Hello one of my two favorite people in the world," Genma greeted back.

"One of two? Who's the other?" Marcy asked shocked. Genma just raised a brow, he knows she knows who it is. "There's really someone else." Marcy pretended to still not know. "Tell me who it is maybe I'll let you in then."

He exhaled giving in, "You already know it's Ali, speaking of Ali were is she, and she's the one who invited me." Gma Marcy let him in and pointed to the living room. He walked in to find Ali cuddled on the couch. He smiled sweetly. "I can come back another time," He whispered to Marcy.

"She's been wanting to see you. She was excited that you were coming, why we don't just watch t.v until she wakes up," Genma nods carefully sitting on the same couch as Ali.

Ali jolted awake after hearing a loud booming sound coming from what she thought was outside. "Oh Ali, did the fireworks from the t.v wake you up?" Marcy asked batting her eyelashes showing a sweet smile but didn't stop there. "Poor Genma has been waiting for tea for two hours," I gasp I didn't even notice Genma next to me. I felt yet another blush start to burn my cheeks.

Oh god he saw me sleeping, I hope I didn't do anything embarrassing, I thought to myself. "Wait you've been here for two hours? Why didn't anyone wake me up?" I asked looking at him then to Grandma.

Genma chuckled a little before answering "No, it was more like an hour." "An hour!?" I jumped up and went straight to the kitchen to put the tea kettle on. After the tea was poured, we all sat at the kitchen table with small conversations filling the air. Nothing really important to talk about, it was mostly Gmatalking about random things and us just listening. Until we heard a grumble from someone's stomach. I looked at grandma then to Genma with a raised brow. "Didn't you go out to dinner?" He moved the senbon with his tongue before answering, "Yeah but it wasn't that great."

Grandma sat up straight with a look that a lightbulb went off. "Ali made homemade mac and cheese would you like some?" Grandma stated her question.

He gave them both a caring look "No, I'll be ok." He said with his stomach growling right after. "On second thought, that sounds terrific."

As I was getting Genma's plate ready all I could think about was if he was going to like it. After finished his sentence with grandma he said. "Wow! Best mac and cheese I've ever had! "Now my blush was times ten. "You made this?" He asked me. I just nodded "All of the dishes Ali makes, she makes from scratch." He had a satisfying look on his face. "Impressive, well Gma Marcy if you get a meal fit for a king every day I might have to move in."

I had no idea what to say. "I-um...erm, T-thanks." I managed something. "Well I think I'm going to head off to bed now, so you two." Grandma paused and looked at me. "Tea lovers can chat for as long as you want just lock the door when Genma leaves, if he decides too." She gave a look of accomplishment and left for her room laughing leaving both Genma and I with bright red faces. Now Grandma has point and Ali is left thinking about Genma once he left about an hour later.
