You're Alive

Scenario: Finding out that Lee is still alive, Clem brings him into the school and introduces her to all her friends. Upon finding out that she's with Louis, he doesn't take the news well.

Clem stuck her knife into the zombies rotten flesh, it's body collapsing to the ground.

"We have to get the rest of the animals from the traps, we can't waste time. It's winter, and we barely have enough to eat." Clem said. There was snow all around them.

"You're right, lets go." Louis said. Clem walked up to a trap, taking the small bunny from it.

"It's a baby... but we need the food." Clem said, snapping its neck.

A cold breeze blew over them, making Clem shiver a bit.

"Here, take my coat." Louis said, taking his coat off.

"What about you?" she asked.

"I'll be okay." he said, handing her the coat. She nodded appreciatively and slipped the coat on.

"That's about all of them. Let's start heading back." Clem said. They started walking when they heard the crunching of snow that wasn't from them.

Louis and Clem fan and hid behind some trees, waiting to see who it was. They saw an older looking man, with a short black beard. He seemed very familiar to Clem.

"How do I know who that is?" she muttered. On closer inspection, she was ashamed to think she hadn't noticed who he was when she first saw him.

"Lee!" she shouted, running over to him and throwing herself into his arms.

"Clementine?" he said, returning the hug. Tears of joy fell from both their eyes, collapsing to the ground in a tight hug. Louis came out from behind the trees, a warm smile on his face when he saw how happy his girlfriend was.

"H-how are you alive?!" she asked.

"Let's not worry about that now, sweet pea. I finally have you back after all these years." he said. He opened his eyes, seeing Louis standing there.

"Hello." Lee said.

"Louis, this is Lee... I told you about him." Clem said.

Louis was standing in front of Clem's father figure.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Lee said, holding his hand out for Louis to shake.

"Y-you too, sir..." he said, shaking his hand. He couldn't help but be nervous.

"Louis is actually my.... boyfriend." Clem said.

Lee's smile turned into a glare.

"Boyfriend? You're too young for all this romance!" Lee said.

"I'm not too young. Listen Lee, I love him, and he loves me. Isn't that what matters?" Clem said.

"Okay, but I've got my eye on you." he said, glaring at Louis.

"Come on, we need to get back. We'll freeze to death out here." Clem said, taking Louis's hand and walking in the direction of the school. Lee followed behind them.

Lee could hear them laughing, and all he could do was glare at the back of Louis's head. He sped up his pace a little.

"Hey sweet pea, could I talk to him for a few minutes?" Lee asked.

"Okay..." she said, letting go of his hand. Louis and Lee slowed down, Clem continuing in front of them.

"How long have you been together?" Lee asked.

"Around a year now, sir..." Louis said.

"And you love her?" Lee quizzed.

"More than anything." Louis replied.

"I'm going to trust you... for now at least. But if you break her heart, you'll regret it. Because I won't let her waste any more of her life on you." Lee said, glaring at the boy.

"Okay sir..." Louis said. Lee nodded and Louis walked back to Clementine.

They saw the gates and Clem looked behind her.

"I can't wait to introduce you to everyone! AJ will love to meet you." Clem said.

"AJ?" Lee said.

"Oh shit, I forgot, you don't know AJ. It's a long story, it I've been taking care of him." Clem said.

"Well I can't wait to meet him." Lee said, and Clem opened the gate.

That night at dinner, Lee had made friends with everyone, but he was still unsure about Louis. He hadn't shown up to dinner, and Clem was getting worried.

"Has anyone seen Louis?" Clem asked, everyone shaking their head.

"I'm gonna go look for him.." Clem said, standing up and going into the school.

She walked to his room and knocked the door.

"Louis? You in there?" she said. She heard him get up and move to the door.

"Hey." he said. He didn't seem like himself.

"You didn't show up to dinner... I just wanted to check up on you." she said.

"I'm okay." he said.

"You don't seem like yourself. Can I come in?" Clem asked. He nodded, and moved to let her in.

She sat on his bed, patting the spot beside her, gesturing for him to sit beside her. He closed the door and sat beside her.

"What's wrong?" she asked, placing her hand in top of his.

"I just... I don't feel good enough for you. I keep thinking you deserve so much more than me." Louis said, looking down.

"What? What makes you think that?" she asked.

"Since Lee's came back, I just feel like I need to step up, be the person that he wants me to be for you. And I just feel like I can't be that person." he said.

"Lou..." she said. She had no idea all of this was in his head.

"Who you are now is more than enough. I love you for the person you are now. Please, don't ever change yourself." she said. He nodded, still looking down.

She lifted his head up, moving it to look at her.

"You are good enough, Louis. Don't ever think you aren't." she said, and pulled him into a hug.

"I just... I really love you, Clem. And I want to be the person you need." he said, his face nuzzled in the crook of her neck.

"You are that person. It's me and you, Lou... nothing is ever going to change that." she said. He looked up and kissed her.

"I love you too." she said quietly.

He smiled, pecking her on the lips one more time.

She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Promise me you'll never change. I love you just the way you are." Clem said.

Louis chuckled.

"I promise."
