Scenario: Clementine has come down with a cold, and Louis takes it upon himself to care for her.

--

"Ugggghhhh." Clementine groaned, opening her eyes. Her head was sore, she had a fever. She felt really ill. She tried standing up, but got light headed and fell back down onto her bed. She heard footsteps going along the corridor. They stopped when they got to her door. She heard a few light knocks, followed by the voice of her boyfriend.
"Clementine? Are you awake?" he quietly called.
"..yeah." Clementine groggily called back. The doorknob twisted, and the door slowly opened.
"Hey, Omar said that breakfast is ready if you want some." he said. Clementine weakly nodded in response.
"You okay?" he asked, sitting on her bed.
"No, I'm sick." she replied, turning on her side.
"Oh." he said. He leant forward, placing a hand on her forehead.
"Jesus, Clem, you're burning up." he said.
"I know. My head is spinning, I can't concentrate. I feel light headed when I stand.." Clementine explained.
"Shit. I'll ask Ruby if she has any medicine for you. I'll be back soon." he said, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead before leaving. He was gone a few minutes, before returning with some pills and a small cup of water.
"Here you go. Ruby said they'll take a while to take effect." Louis said, giving Clementine the medicine and water.
"Thank you." she said, taking them from him. She swallowed the pills, putting her cup on the table beside her bed. He sat at the bottom of her bed.
"When did you start feeling like this?" he asked.
"When I woke up." Clem replied, bringing her knees up to her chest as she lay on her side. She started shivering a little.
"You cold?" Louis asked.
"A little." Clem replied. Louis stood up, and pulled the blanket over her shivering body. This did little to ease the cold, but she appreciated the gesture. He started heading for the door.
"Louis?" Clem said.
"Yeah?" he replied, turning around.
"Can you stay please?" she asked.
"Yeah, of course." he said, going back over and sitting on the bed. She shuffled over a little and patted the spot beside her, gesturing for Louis to lie beside her. He lay down, an arm out. She rested her head on his arm, as he turned to his side, pulling her close to him. Her head rested just under his chin.
"I'm sorry you're not feeling good." he said.
"It's okay." she replied. She was still shivering a bit, so he took off his coat and gave it to her.
"Put this on, it might help." he said. She gratefully took it and put it on.
"Thank you." she said.
"No problem." he replied. She winced a little.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, just my head..." Clem responded. Louis put his hand to her forehead again. Still warm.
He took her hand, and starting circling his thumb on the back of it.
"Louis?" Clem said.
"Hm?" he replied.
"Can you sing for me please?" she asked.
"Of course. What song?" Louis replied.
"You know my favorite." she responded, her eyes fluttering shut. He smiled, and began to sing very softly.

Oh my darling, oh my darling

Oh my darling Clementine

You are lost and gone forever

Dreadful sorry Clementine

Light she was and like a fairy

And her shoes were number nine

Herring boxes without topses

Sandals were for Clementine

By the time he'd finished, she'd fallen asleep. He smiled, planting a kiss on her hand that he was still holding, as he shut his eyes.
"I love you." he muttered, before falling asleep.
