It had been 2 years since the whole ordeal with the Delta, and this was another ordinary day for Louis. Out hunting with Aasim, annoying him with his endless jokes. They had a pretty good haul too, 4 decent sized rabbits. As they were making their way back to the school, the familiar sound of groaning was heard too close for comfort. Taking Chairles out of his trench coat, Louis swung the chair leg, taking down the walker in one swift movement.
"Check the body, see if they had anything useful on them!" Aasim called. Louis nodded, and began checking the pockets of the now dead walker. His fingers fell upon something quite solid, a box. He pulled it out of the walkers pocket and opened it. 2 unusually clean silver rings. He stared at them for a good few seconds before pocketing the box. He checked the rest of the pockets, finding nothing. He had the idea of proposing to his girlfriend for a while now, about 3 months. Now that he had the rings, he had to set up something really special so he could propose properly. As they got nearer to the school, his heart fluttered when he saw Clementine up on lookout duty. 2 years and she still had that effect on him. She waved as she jumped down, opening the gate for the boys to come back into the school. She leaned up on her tip toes and pecked her boyfriend on the lips.
"You find anything?" she asked.
"Four rabbits." he replied. She nodded, a smile on her face.
"Good." she said. He gave his rabbits to Aasim, and Clementine and Louis sat down by the picnic tables.
"Hi Louis!" AJ exclaimed, putting his pencil down.
"Hey little man." Louis said. All he could think about was how he was going to propose. He thought he could maybe ask Aasim for help setting things up. Aside from Violet, Aasim had become Louis's best friend after Marlon died. He thought Aasim was the best bet at getting help, since he takes things seriously, unlike Violet who would just mercilessly tease him about it. He stood up, but before he had the chance to leave, Clementine grabbed his hand.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I need to talk to Aasim, I'll be back soon, I promise." he said, kissing her cheek before leaving.

He assumed Aasim would be at his dorm, writing at his desk or reading on his bed. He gently knocked the door to Aasim's room.
"Who is it?" he heard Aasim call.
"It's Louis." Louis called back. He heard Aasim get up and shuffle his feet towards the door. He then heard a click, and Aasim opened his door.
"Hey, can we talk about something?" Louis asked. Aasim took note of Louis's serious tone and nodded his head, letting him in.
"Remember the walker I killed today, the one I searched?" Louis asked.
"Yeah, why?" Aasim questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, uh... I found these." Louis said, taking the ring box out of his pocket and opened it. Aasim's eyes widened.
"And I was thinking about proposing to Clementine..." he said after a while.
"Really?" Aasim said.
"Yeah.. I just don't know how I'll set it up, I don't even know if she'll yes..." Louis said, a hint of sadness in his tone. Aasim placed a hand on Louis's shoulder supportively.
"She will, she loves you man." Aasim reassured.
"I need help setting up how I'm going to do it. Do you think you could help me out a bit?" Louis asked. Aasim nodded.
"Thanks." Louis mumbled. Aasim stood up and leaned against the wall.
"What if I ask Omar to make something special for us, and we could have dinner in the piano room?" Louis suggested.
"I think she'd like that." Aasim said.
"You might also want to, y'know, clean up for the occasion? Go down to the river and clean your face." Aasim said. Louis nodded.
"Thanks man, for helping me." Louis said. Aasim offered him a smile.
"No problem." Aasim said. Louis left the room, and went out into the courtyard. Clementine saw him and waved him over to her.
"Hi." she said, as he walked over to her.
"Hey. I actually need to head down to the river." Louis said, receiving a pout from Clementine.
"Do you have to go?" she asked. He smiled.
"Don't worry, I won't be gone long. I just have to... do something." he said, pecked her cheek, and made his way to the gates. He opened the gates, following the path to the river.
