I believe this has to top the list of worst decisions made by Mother and Father. Why, after all these years, do they choose to send Elio and I to Hogwarts? All the other years they could have sent us, why? Why, whenwe are almost done with our schooling?
Beauxbatons is a lovely academy, arguably even better than Hogwarts, but now I am forced to leave behind my studies. Did I think Hogwarts was pleasant during our stay last year? Yes. But never in a millennium did I expect to transfer there, especially after the death of Cedric Diggory. I am most surprised Mother would allow Father to send us.
Even worse, Elio and I are not even in the same house. So, I will have absolutely no one in my close circle that I know, or am at least familiar with. I will be forced to socialize with people, something that has never really gone in my favor.
For the first time ever, I am not excited for this school year, not in the very slightest.
Help.

"AURORA!"
"Sorry, sorry, I'm here," Rory waltzed down the grand staircase, not giving Sol the chance to yell again. "I lost track of the time."
In an attempt to dress somewhat decently, Rory wore a black turtleneck paired with a red and black plaid skirt. Beneath was a pair of black tights, as her skirt stopped right above her knees. Her blonde hair was styled in loose curls, completed with a black headband, and wine-colored lips.
Carina stood at the bottom of the stairs beside Sol, speaking to Rory as she walked down, "You always do clean up nice, Aurora. And, it is nice to see you in something other than those wretched jeans and jumpers you insist on wearing. You need to wear dresses and skirts more often . . . they show off your femininity, and will attract your future spouse."
"Thanks," Rory smiled, but she rolled her eyes and gagged once Carina wasn't looking her way.
The touching family moment didn't last long however, for there was a knock at the door that caused Carina to push past Rory. Sol walked over to their front door, opening it to greet the family that was invited over for dinner.
"Aurora, come!" Sol called out, causing a soft groan to leave Rory lips as she walked into the foyer.
"I am not a dog, Sol," she mumbled to herself, moving so she could catch glimpse of the family at the door.
Rory had expected there to be an older couple her father worked with, but was surprised to see a couple around her parents age, and a boy around hers. Carina greeted the woman with a long embrace and the man with a kiss to the cheek, while Rory busied herself by staring at the boy.
"Aurora is all grown up now, she just turned fifteen a few weeks ago." This snapped Rory from her trance, her eyes glancing over to Carina. "Aurora, you remember the Malfoys and their son Draco, right?"
She nodded and Carina smiled, wrapping her arm around Aurora's shoulders, "Well, you were quite young the last time we've gotten together, but you and Draco were always quite a mischievous pair. I'm sure Elio will remember better. He always looked forward to when Draco would come over."
"Follow me to the dining room," Sol gestured towards the open, illuminated space. "You can hand your coats over to the elves, and I believe they have dinner coming."
The Malfoys and Carina followed Sol, while Elio finally made his way downstairs. His dark hair was disheveled, his dress shirt was crudely buttoned, and his belt was missing. Rory scoffed at the sight, "What were you, sleeping?"
Elio smirked, "I guess you could call it that. Thank Merlin Mother and Father didn't hear the cracks from my room."
And like earlier, Rory gagged.

Halfway through the meal was when Rory started to converse with the Malfoys, but there was something off about them. She couldn't help but notice the odd energy they gave off, and the fact that her gut told her not to trust them. However, it was hard to limit her conversation as she was seated to the right of Draco, who seemed to make his mission to constantly converse with her.
"Aurora," Mrs. Malfoy spoke this time, causing her to look the woman's way. "Your mother mentioned you and Elio are attending Hogwarts this year. Are you looking forward to it?"
Rory thought back to all the negative things written in her journal, "Uh, not really."
Mrs. Malfoy's face fell slightly, "Why not?"
"Well, I hate how I have to leave my Beauxbatons studies behind. Although Hogwarts is a fine academy, nothing can compare to Beauxbatons," Rory said honestly, earning something similar to a glare from Carina.
"Did you say Beauxbatons?" Draco asked. "Weren't you at Hogwarts last year for the Tri-Wizard Tournament?"
Rory hummed in agreement, glancing down at the steak knife she was gripping onto tightly. How she wished she could stab herself with it. Instead, Rory abruptly stood from her seat, dropping her silverware onto the table below, "I'm sorry, but if you would excuse me, I still have packing to do. It was lovely seeing you all again. Have a wonderful night."
Rory pushed in her chair, walking through the hallway and up the stairs, straight into her bedroom. She sighed, collapsing onto her bed in a huff. Her fifth year had more in store than she thought, and Rory wasn't sure just how ready for it she was.
