A/n: It's been a couple of days and I wanted to update... so here.
Previously
We all heard pounding footsteps.
"What now?" I groaned.
Loki stepped in front of me.
"There's an intruder in the tower," Jarvis announced.
"I swear. Every Monday. Last time it was Strange, who's it gonna be now? Mr Fantastic?" Tony grumbled, walking back in.
Fury promptly invited himself in. "STARK!"
Currently
Loki pulled me in front of him and tried to hide behind me.
I snickered as Tony groaned loud enough for Natasha to walk in.
"Oh, Fury. We were afraid it was someone scary."
He didn't look amused. "Anyone wanna tell me why I just got a notice that Loki's staying here?" He asked.
"He's reforming so he can stay with me," I said plainly.
He nodded slowly. "And you're okay with that?"
I shrugged. "I don't see why not," I replied.
"Okay then. You watch him. If he gets out of control, kick his butt." I nodded.
"Okay, boss."
He sighed and walked over to Tony, speaking to him in a hushed tone before leaving.
Tony looked like his heart'd been ripped out.
Loki rose from behind me. "Don't worry, if I get out of hand I'll let you win." He said, smirking slightly.
I nodded and walked out into the living room.
Steve walked out and opened his arms. I lazily walked over and let him hug me.
"Penny for a thought?" He asked.
"You're gonna need a whole lotta pennies." I groaned.
He chuckled and squeezed me slightly. "I've got a lot of pennies." He replied.
I sat with him on the couch. "I'm just feeling overwhelmed, honestly. A lot's happened recently. I knew you all adopted me, but I didn't know who my parents were until 2 weeks ago. I knew I was... different. But I didn't know how until 2 weeks ago. I knew magic existed, but I didn't know I could use it until two weeks ago. And I didn't know Thor was my actual uncle until 2 weeks ago. It's just a lot to take in."
He rubbed my back lightly. "I can't imagine how all this is for you." He said.
"Yeah, you can," I said, chuckling humorlessly.
"Yeah, but you're a kid. A mature kid, but a kid. It's a lot for someone so little."
I nodded slightly.
"Have you tried talking to your dad about it yet? if you think about it, he knows how you feel too."
I shook my head. "I don't think I'm to the spill the tea point yet."
Steve nodded. "I get that, it's hard to open up to people. I'm not going to say you should do anything that's going to make you uncomfortable, but maybe just talk. Little steps. He might be easier to talk to than you think."
I smiled and rotated to hug him. "Thanks, Steve. I know I can always count on you." I said into his chest.
"That's the idea." He said, hugging me back.
