Chapter 14

Previously: The wall burst open and Chitauri came in. Just my luck.

I stared at the Chitauri. A skinny guy walked in as the other students cowered.

"You?" He exclaimed.

"Surprise, I lived sucker," I exclaimed, chucking a dagger at him.

He tried to deflect it but it glanced off his shoulder.

Peter swung in. "How many times do I have to save you?" He exclaimed.

"I'm doing fine, get them out of here!" I snapped.

He nodded and webbed up the soldiers before swinging over to the kids.

"Out the..." He pushed against the door again. "Uh oh."

I growled. "Lemme guess, it's jammed," I said.

He nodded.

"Make sure the creeps don't get them."

I stood in front of the group.

"Gotcha, let's kick some alien butt." I used the telekinesis dad taught me to vault down from my row.

A red glow surrounded one of them and they went flying.

That wouldn't be Wanda, Tony said she was on a mission. I thought.

A person walked into view with a hood on and a scarf over their mouth and nose. "Really? Property damage?" She asked.

"Your meaningless lives will be given meaning. Your deaths will aid in Thanos' conquest. Your deaths will come at the hand of Ebony Maw and the Black Order." Some teens were crying, and I conjured a sword.

"No one's dying on my watch." I sneered.

Maw laughed. "Kill them all, then kill her." He ordered.

I decapitated one and another came from the side.

"Spider-man, you go high I go low." He nodded and perched on the wall.

"I'll get the stragglers." The girl said, standing beside me.

I nodded.

"I'm... I'm the crimson curse."

I chuckled. "So did you two use a superhero name generator or something?" I teased.

"Oh yeah, What's yours?" Peter snapped.

"I don't need one. I'm not tryna be a hero. I'm just trying not to die. I don't go looking for trouble, it finds me! You two are nuts!" I said, slashing at another Chitauri.

I conjured several clones. The soldiers looked overwhelmed and dozens of me's surrounded them. Maw raised a hand, and I was flung against the walls.

"You guys wanna help!" I said through gritted teeth.

She flung Maw and Peter webbed some more soldiers.

I gritted my teeth and pushed myself up using the wall.

I picked up the sword I dropped and slashed at the Chitauri.

"The soldiers are just guarding Maw. Take 'em out. Spiderman, keep on the kids."

He nodded, and the "crimson curse" and I attacked. I slashed through the Chitauri like a hot knife through butter.

"Are we supposed to be killing..."

"You got a better plan? Maybe your name generator can help there."

He groaned.

A news van pulled up and people rushed out.
