-Ji-uen POV-
I smiled softly as the beach came into view, my home. I took off my shoes and socks, stepping onto the golden sand. It was quiet, surprising for such a tropical beach. The water was clean and vibrant making me appreciate the care of the sea.
I wandered to the water, the waves hitting my feet shivering and squealing in response. My eyes scanned the horizon of the ocean, making my eyes glimmer. I felt at home and in peace once again. Sure I had the house on land, but it wasn't truly my home without the sea life. The surroundings were so relaxing, the smell of salt strong.
Before arriving, I had thrown on a simple swimming costume, wanting to go swimming even if it wasn't with a tail. The swimming suit was striped black and white, as I had thrown a white dress over the top in a rush. I took the dress off and placed it safely away from the water, making sure it didn't get wet. Dipping my toes back in the sea, I smiled before diving in fully. Being a mermaid meant I could open my eyes underwater without any pain. The shells were illuminating under the surface of the sea, hidden from most.
My hand travelling to a shell rather large from the rest, picking it up and bringing it with me out the water. When I surfaced, I was met with the warm sun warming me from the cool stream. The shell was a conch, a light, pastel pink colour. Back in the Kingdom, I had a massive shell collection, it kinda turned into a hobby from child. I placed the shell back on the seabed as I just paddled around for a bit, happy to have a familiar feeling of water in contact with my skin. The air felt natural, all of my surroundings made me forget all the problems.
I splashed around for a couple minutes, surprisingly not getting bored, before a call made me turn my head. I watched the figure sprint across the beach, the silhouette becoming larger making me identify the person. A bright smile painted my expression as I quickly hurried out the water towards him.
-Yoongi POV-
I arrived at the beach, seeing it deserted, strange with the beauty. I looked around, the sea's surface catching my eyes. I had tried to avoid the view of the ocean, scared it may draw me back home. I didn't want to face my parents, though they were really caring and I had nothing against them, they would most likely lock me away if they knew where I had been all these years. Either way, a girl was seen splashing in the water. Her hair fell down past her shoulder as her soft laughs were the only sound heard except the waves. On the sand, her belongings layed safely away from the water. I had instantly recognized the girl from her laughs and figure and called out to her.
"Ji-uen!" I shouted making her turn her head in confusion. I fastened my pace, ending up in a run towards her. Though this wasn't my first time meeting her on land, however it felt like we were in better circumstances at present. I waited at on land as she ran out of the water before attacking me, embracing me in a tight hug. "Yoongi~!" She giggled out as I remembered she was still wet from swimming. I groaned as she pulled back, my clothes damp from her hug, but I laughed it off.
It was silent for a bit, until a chatter filled the air, making both of us turn to the source. We saw a family approaching making us look at each other, thinking the same thing. She just sighed though, a grin still ghosting her lips. "Looks like we'll have to wait if we don't want to get caught" I nod in agreement as I take a seat on the sand like her, the water brimming my feet.
-Ji-uen POV-
The family arrived at the beach, the children instantly running towards the ocean, already equipped with swimwear and sun cream. There squeals and giggles were faint as they were located a fair distance along the beach from us. I glanced a Yoongi before looking back at the sea, sighing. "Do you miss it?" I ask him, not tearing my eyes from the waves calmly crashing onto the shores.
