I run down the stairs at like midnight and fiddle with the drawers in the hallway. I finally find a piece of paper and pen.

Dear Coral,

I'm not talented Coral. I don't know what to do anymore. Humans always love our mermaids voices so I feel like it's unfair to be an Idol. It's stupid. If there was ever a competition I would always win and I don't want it to be like that. Maybe I should just give up and come back home. It's not like being an Idol was something big for me. Trust me. I try to convince myself but pearls were already falling out my eyes. I sigh annoyed but end up posting the letter. I walk slowly back upstairs and flop on the bed. I curl up into a ball on the small covers. A small whimper leaves my mouth as I put my hand over my mouth not wanting to wake up Chief. I silently cry myself to sleep. Knowing that tomorrow will be my last day on land.

-Next Day-

I wake down stairs with puffy eyes and my hair a mess. I sniffle as I exit my room in some casual clothes. Chief looks at me from head to toe. Ruff!! "Wut Happened. R u Ok? I will kill anyone in your way" He says worried. I sigh and shoe him. "I'm Fine. It's not your problem." He seems very curious but doesn't want to push me so he goes back to his room. I yawn as I reach the kitchen but before I can start cooking breakfast (More like trying to cook breakfast. It's hard in the human world) the doorbell rings. I sigh annoyed. I lazily drag myself to the door and open it reveling a post man. " Delivery" He says sounding like he doesn't want to be here aswell. I take it out of his hands as he doesn't even look at me. "Bye" We both say bluntly as I close the door. I rip open the new envelope I was holding and it reveals silky blue paper covered in seaweed. It states.
