Mermaid Tale (Bts ff)

Chapter 23

I walked onto stage due to the clapping and my name being called. I waved shyly. Still wasn't used to this. Thankfully this interview was not early as usual. It was about 10:30am right now. Usually interviews area a lot early. I'm not complaining though, means more sleeping for me. I walk to the chair and sit down bowing my head at the interviewer.

"Hello IU, We are so thankful you came today." I nod at the interviewer smiling. "So shall we start the questions?" She asks and I nod. "First, Your new song called "You and I" showed a lot about you and the talent you have. You also had another actor staring in the song, if I'm not wrong" I sigh thinking of the gentleman I worked with. "Yeah, he's really nice. It was amazing working with him. It was amazing working with everyone, producers, actors, dancers all of them." She smiles. 

"Next question, Do we get to know a little info about the upcoming project your working on" I look at the interviewer. "You know I'm working on something?" I question and she laughs nodding. "Well.....It's called Friday. I can't say much else. I'm probably going to get told of for even telling you the name" I scratched the back of my head. The crowd seems to cheer a little. "Well you heard it here first,  We will be looking forward to this upcoming song called Friday" I smile warmly. 

"Since we have time, we might as well take some questions from the crowd. Raise your hand if you have a question for IU" I look to the crowd seeing most hands go up into the air quicker than lightning. The interviewer picks a random hand from the crowd. "Come forward and tell your question onto the mic at the front" A girl who seemed to be a teenager came forward smiling, blushing shyly. "Umm......Hi, I'm Ha-uen. I was wondering....Have you ever heard of Bts? Because I think a lot of people will agree with me that you remind me of one of the members, Yoongi" My breath hitches. I take a deep breath and smile. Time to lie.

"Well Ha-uen, is it fine if I call you Hana?" I ask politely as she nods turning more red in the cheeks. "Well Hana, I have heard of the band Bts. My personal favourite song is Save me-" My sentence was interrupted with some cheers from the mention of the song. "I don't know the members well, but if I remind people of Yoongi, I'd be glad to get to know him" I say smiling. Trust me I don't think I need to "get to know him". I know him well enough.

"Thank you so much" She mutters bowing before going back to the crowd. "How about one more question?" I nod at the interviewer as the hands from the crowd come up once again. The interviewer picks a hand as a 14 year old boy comes forward. He had a bright smile on his lips as he came towards the mic. "Hey, My names Min-hyuk. First of all, I think your an amazing idol that I look up to. You were amazing in your first song and I hope for more inspiring songs to come. But my question is...... What's your favourite color?" I smile thinking of my favourite color. It's not something I've ever thought of before. "Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm a little nervous" I shake my head. "It's a great question, I think I'll have to go with a nice dark blue." I say since the color reminds me of the ocean. He nods smiling cheerfully. "Thank you" He then disappears back into the crowd.

I turn to the interviewer and she smiles at me. "Thank you so much for being with us today IU. I think all of us would agree into wishing you luck in your new career." I felt some grateful as all the cheers erupted from the crowd. "Thank you! I love you so much!" I shout to the fans in the crowd as more squeals and cheers came that were louder. I make finger hearts with my fingers and walk back stage.

-Yoongi POV-

I watch the interviewer leaning on my desk not taking my eyes of the screen. The interviewer says they can take questions from the crowd. I sigh and take a sip of my drink. ".Have you ever heard of Bts? Because I think a lot of people will agree with me that you remind me of one of the members, Yoongi" I put my drink down quickly widening my eyes. How is she going to react to that?! The camera goes back to Ji-uen and she thinks. I see that she was nervous but quickly covered it up. "I don't know the members well, but if I remind people of Yoongi, I'd be glad to get to know him" I smile at her responds. The interview ended shortly and I go onto Instagram to message Ji-uen. 

-Back to Ji-uen POV-

I scroll onto my phone as I sit in the taxi that was taking me back home. I go on Instagram to see another message from Yoongi. 

Yoongi: Just watched your interview. You dodged that question about me, didn't ya? Anyway, I was wondering. How do you think the Min Kingdom is coping?

I thought about it. That night when we found each other by the ocean. We never went to the kingdom, We never warned them about the Humans on the mermaids case. Oh no. I quickly typed a reply.

Me: ...Umm Yoongi... I think we need to warn them about the Humans finding traces of Mermaids. We need to tell them to be more careful. I don't care if we get forced to stay in the Kingdom. That chance is better than Humans finding out about Mermaids. So, when do you want to go? And if you don't want to come, then I'm going alone...

Soon a message from Yoongi comes back.

Yoongi: Ji-uen, I guess your right. I'm going to have to make an excuse up to get out the house. I'll just say I'm fed up with them or something and I need time. So, how about tommorow. I'm not letting you go alone. Will meet at the beach we met last time, it's time to warn the kingdom, it's time to warn our kingdom.

I sigh brushing my hand through my hair. I think about and nod confiedent. It's the only way. We just have to get in and out like nothing ever happened. It's for their safety. I typed back one word.

Me: Ok.
