Billie
"You two are gross," I tell Finneas and Claudia while sitting on the couch next to them. Fin has his arm around Claudia, she's snuggled closely into his side.
"Shut up, you do the same shit with your girlfriend," Finneas mocks me while pulling Claudia in closer.
I roll my eyes, "she's not my girlfriend, stop with that."
"I'm so excited to see her again today, it feels like it's been ages." Claudia chimes in.
I smile, "it's been like- a month, and also Finneas," he snaps his attention towards me, "she is not my girlfriend so don't make shit weird."
"Okay, okay. Just you always talk about her, I mean, there has to be something between you two," he raises his eyes at me. "Something that you're not telling me."
I shake my head, "nope."
I had promised Finneas over a week ago that if I told Maddie about my feelings for her, I'd tell him. But he hasn't been around the house recently and I never got to it. He's been on my ass about confessing to her when I do see him. I shrug it off and tell him I don't think of her in that way anymore. He doesn't buy it.
Maddie and I have been kind of exclusive for a week now but of course, it's been on the down-low. We haven't put a label on anything, which I'm happy about. Maddie is comfortable with the idea that we're not fit into any boxes right now. We're just floating around and experimenting until we figure out what we want. As of now, all I know is that we're more than friends, and I'm more than okay with that.
Everything's been going well between Maddie and me. We see each other almost every day and the days when we don't, they're pretty boring.
Things with the press and the public have been really good too. I've kept Maddie off of my social media's and we don't usually go out together much, mostly to avoid paps. And so, my fans or management don't even know her as my friend yet. It's for the best though, Maddie could get caught again. But I don't understand why it's such a big deal? But I mean, she didn't mention why it's so for her to important to stay out of sight. Yeah I know she's shoplifted quite a lot of shit but the police have been on her ass for months. Like, who puts that much effort in catching a shoplifter? There's something I don't know, but I don't mind.
With Maddie, I've been feeling good. We've both been good. I've always been avoidant of relationships or anything exclusive, Maddie told me she's the same. The only partner she's had was her eighth-grade boyfriend that broke up with her behind the school after a week. She's hooked up with a few girls she's mentioned in the past but she never found someone interesting enough to get with more seriously.
Maybe I'm the one who changed her mind.I hear a knock on the door, "she's hereee," I sing while getting up off the couch.
I open the door and a huge smile forms across my face when I see Maddie on the other side. I pull her in for a hug.
"Hey Billie," she says into my neck.
"Hey, Maddie."
"How are you?" she asks while pulling apart.
"Good," I smile, "you?"
