We were half way through our game against the Celtics and I was nervous. I wasn't nervous because I thought we weren't going to win. I was super nervous because I had to propose to Y/N right after the game. Every one knew it was coming, except for Kara and her mom. I decided to go ahead and not ask because I knew it would be a waste of my time. I'm madly in love with the girl and I'm sure she's madly in love with me. I want to seal the fucking deal already.

Sipping some Gatorade on the sidelines, I looked at Y/N who was sitting court side with Taj, separate from Kara. He had the ring in his pocket to slide to me after the game. My parents, Maya, Y/N's brothers, and her father were all at home, setting up for the celebration party. Hearing the buzzer, I took my position on the court, waiting to receive the ball from Javale. I dribbled it up court and in-between my legs before making the pass to LeBron. I switched up my position on the court, making the my way through the lanes. Seeing an easy lay up, the ball was passed back to me and I shot it into the basket.

For the last two quarters, all I could think about was Y/N. I was finally going to do it and I could barely contain my excitement. After Danny sealed the win for the game at the free throw line and the buzzer rang, we shook the hands of the other team.

"I'll hit you up sometime bro." I said to Kyrie, giving him a bro hug before walking over to Taj.

"Good game, bro." he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I put my hand behind my back as if I was going to scratch it and he casually placed the ring inside my hand. Y/N came over, giving me a kiss on my cheek. Everyone was in their positions, casually just waiting and watching. They were pretending to talk to each other as if they didn't know what was going on. Talen was busy trying to keep Kara entertained, so she wouldn't walk over here.

"First time being court side." Y/N began. "I like the view."

"Oh yeah?" I asked. "Well get use to that view." I was fucking sweaty so hard. Taj stepped back to give me some space.

"What do you mean?" she asked, confused.

"Just hear me out real quick." I say. "You like the view, so it's always gonna be your view. Y/N, you mean the world to me. You're the mother of my son, my best friend, the person I always go to about my problems and I want it to stay that way, forever." I started to get down on one knee, shaking a little bit out of nervousness, plus I was tired. "I want this, right here, forever. I want you, forever. I don't have eyes for anyone else, but you and it's gonna stay that way, forever."

Tears started to form in her eyes as I waited for her answer. Cheers erupted from everyone around us, including fans who decided to stay around in the arena after the game. I was still waiting for her answer, when she got down on both of her knees and wrapped her arms around me. The cheering only intensified.

"What are you doing?" I asked her in her ear. "Are you okay? You can say no if you want to." A couple more seconds went by before she finally said something.

"Forever." she said loud enough for everyone to hear. "Forever." I kissed her on her cheek, letting the tears that I was holding back out of fear, fall. Slipping the ring on her finger, she grabbed me by both of my cheeks and slammed her lips onto mine.

"LET'S GET ITTTTTTTTTT!" Taj shouted. Everyone behind us was going crazy. It was a special moment, until the both of us were soaking wet in water. My dumbass teammates decided that it was okay to pour the rest of the water from the game on us. It's a way we celebrated really good games.
