Dove

"Yo yo yo." Cameron said to me as he walked up to the table I was sitting at.

"Hey you." I said back with a smile. "Are we matching right now?"

"I guess we are." he said, looking at both of our outfits. "We haven't pulled these out in a while, but I just took a shower and it was the most comfortable thing I could find at the moment."

"Yeah I can tell." I said, giggling. "You don't have your scruffy look."

"You like my scruffy look though." he said, taking his laptop out of his book bag.

"That I do." I said back. "Oh before I forget. I got you your favorite combo."

"Did you now?" he asked.

"Mhm." I said. "Double cheeseburger, no pickles, no mustard, extra onions, extra mayo, extra ketchup, extra lettuce, no tomato."

"Damn." he said, laughing. "You sure do listen when I talk."

"It's what friends do." I said. Friends. I wish we weren't friends though. Ever since I broke up with Thomas, I've been spending more time than usual with Cameron, causing me to take major interest in him. Maybe I should of tried things with him before Thomas. "But I also got you a Sprite and a chocolate chunk cookie."

"I appreciate you so much." he said, taking a bite out of his burger. "I am hungry as fuck. Skipped lunch today to study extra for a Chem test."

"Did you pass?" I asked him.

"I think I did." he answered. "I felt pretty confident. What are you about to work on right now?"

"A paper." I sighed. "A 10 page essay about aggressive behavior for my psychology class."

"Damn." he said. "There's only so much you can talk about."

"I know." I said, rolling my eyes. "It's fucking ridiculous, but it has to be done. How do you deal with Chem and Bio at the same time?"

"Oh it stresses me out bad." he said. "Pretty bad, but my grades are excellent, so I guess it's all worth it."

"What's up, C." Thomas said walking over to us. Speaking of the devil. "Dove."

"What's going on Tommy?" Cam asked back.

"I'm just about to grab something to eat, go play air hockey with Booboo upstairs." he said back.

"Hello, Thomas." I said, not making direct eye contact.

"You don't got no homework to do?" Cameron asked.

"Finished it an hour ago, all set for the weekend." he said back. "Speaking of the weekend, are you coming to Sigma Chi's party tomorrow night?"

"Are they gonna have you sober monitoring the whole night?" Cameron asked again with a smirk.

"Hey, I've earned my respect in this fraternity. I get to push the new guys around now." he laughed. "But nah, I'm not on sober monitor duty tomorrow night."
