Y/N

"Calm down, Cameron." I said to him. It's been almost 2 weeks since we've been engaged and it was Cameron who decided that it was time to face my mom. "This was your idea, why are you shaking so bad?"

"It's not your mom I'm worried about." he said. "It's your crazy ass sister."

"She's not even home." I say. "You can calm all the way down."

"That doesn't mean I'm still not on edge." he said.

"You'll be alright." I said back, intertwining our fingers together. "It's my life."

"You can't disrespect your mom, though." he said back to me.

"It's my life." I repeated again. "I love you and Junior and that's all that matters." He smiled at me before biting his lip.

"I love you too." he said. Pulling into the driveway of my mother's house, I sighed a sigh of relief that Kara wasn't actually home. Getting out of the car, I knocked on the door.

"Hey baby girl!" my mom said, engulfing me in a hug. "How are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?" I ask.

"I'm doing alright." she said, looking at me before looking at Cameron. He gave her a half smile before saying something.

"Hi Mrs. Y/L/N." he said.

"Cameron." my mom said back. I sighed as the both of us walked into the house.

"What bad news have you come to bring to me today?" she asked, sitting in her chair.

"Well it's not really bad news." I began. "At least not to Cameron and I."

"Really?" she asked, sounding skeptical.

"Really." Cameron chimed in, half smiling at her again.

"Well spit it out then." she says to the both of us. "I don't have all day."

"Well um..." Cameron said, tripping and stuttering with his words. "Well um.. you see.. I... Y/N and I... we.."

"We're engaged, ma." I said. "Cameron and I are engaged." It was silent for a few minutes between all three of us.

"Is this a joke?" she asked, finally breaking the silence.

"What's your problem with Cameron mom?" I asked.

"Well it's about damn time." she said, while I was also asking my question, so I didn't hear her.

"He hasn't done anything wrong. He takes good care of me and Junior and is always there." I kept talking.

"Y/N." Cameron tried to call out to me.

"He treats me so good. Always taking me out, providing me with things, listening to my problems, and sticking up for me." I kept on going. "You and Kara are crazy if you can't see what a good person Cameron is. Scratch that, great person, Cameron is."

"Y/N." he said again.

"And I-," Cameron cut me off.

"Y/N!" he yelled. "Did you not hear what she said?"

"Yeah, are you done?" my mom asked, resting her face on the side of her hand.

"Wait what?" I asked.

"I said." my mother began again. "It's about damn time."

"What do you mean?" I ask. "I thought you hated Cameron?"

"I never hated Cameron." she said. "I was upset because you two are so close and weren't dating. I see the way you two look at each other. I thought you two were just going to keep playing games."

"Is this a joke?" I ask.

"Does it look like I joke?" my mom asked back, raising an eyebrow.

"What's Kara's problem then?" Cameron asked my mom.

"She's obsessed with you." she says. "You are all she talks about. She likes you. I've been trying to speak to her about it, but no one can get through to her. I fear for your life sometimes."

"And why is that?" Cameron asks, smirking.

"One day she just might try to kidnap you." she responds.

"I won't even let her get the chance." I say.

"Well I'm glad you don't hate me." Cameron says. "I was nervous."

"No." my mom began. "I know you'll always be by my daughter's side."

"Of course." he said.

"Cause if not, I'd have to kill you." my mom said laughing. Cameron stood there for a minute, awkwardly laughing.

"You're joking right?" he asked, still nervously chuckling.

"No." my mom said with a straight face. "I will literally kill you."

"Mom!" I yelled and she started laughing.

"I'm just messing with the both of you." she said. "How's my grandson?"

"He's doing alright." I say. "At home with his uncles."

"Bring him to visit me some time." she says. "I miss him."

"I will." I say. "I've just been so busy."

"Excuses." my mom says. Cameron walked up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist before resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Totally not excuses." I say back to her.

"Yeah yeah yeah." she said. "Well y'all feel free to make yourselves at home for a little bit." She got up and went into her room and started gossiping on the phone like most moms do. Cameron turned me around to face him, smiling.

"I love you." he said to me, biting his lip.

"I love you too." I say back, pulling him down for a heated kiss. He moved to do more, but I quickly stopped him. "This is my mom's house."

"Shit, you're right." he said, chuckling. "When we get home?"

"Maybe." I say, biting my lip at him. Aside from the fact that Kara was crazy, I felt that everything was going to be okay. Cameron and I were going to get married. We were probably going to move in together. We just had to decided on who was giving up their home to move in with the other. We could both finally be happy, all the way happy.

I was jolted out of my thoughts by an all too familiar feeling. I quickly ran to the bathroom, covering the throw up that was trying to escape my mouth. Was I really pregnant again? Cameron is going to be so ecstatic.

"Cam!" I yelled for him.

"Already heading to the store!" he yelled back.

"Well I actually needed you to come rub my back, but yeah go ahead!" I yelled back. I love that man.
