Trapped Part 2

I was super skeptical about Sofia. Ever since she got in a relationship with that Daniel guy, she hasn't been the bubbly and alive girl she always was. No one else seemed to notice that though, which is weird because it was fucking obvious. I swear she lost some weight because she isn't eating. Whenever we were on set, she did not eat, at all. The saddest part about it though, was that I was in love with her. I saw her worth, all of it.

"Earth to Cameron." China said, snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Hm?" I said, a piece of pizza still in my hand. Every Friday afternoon, China and I would go out for lunch and it was always the same thing, pizza. We both LOVED pizza, so there was never any issue.

"What's on your mind?" she asked me.

"Just family stuff." I said, lying. Yeah, China is my best friend, but I know how she is. If I told her what I was really thinking, it would blow up in a bad way. And if Daniel was treating Sofia the way I think he is, I don't know what he would do to her and I can't lose her, not like that.

"Do you need to talk about it?" she asked, rubbing her thumb across my hand.

"No, I'm alright Chi." I said smiling, stuffing another piece of pizza down my throat. "What is everyone doing today?"

"Today, Thomas and Dove are out celebrating their anniversary, Mitchell is spending the day with his family, Brenna is spending the day with her boyfriend, I'm with you, and I think Booboo is at home. As for Sofia, I don't really know. She doesn't speak much like she use to unless we're all together in person." she answered. And I bet I know the exact reason why. I took my phone out, texting Sofia to find out what is going on with her today.

Me: Hey, wyd today?

Baby Carson: Spending the day with Daniel..

Me: Are you gonna be free at any point today?

Baby Carson: I really don't know, but I gotta go, he's coming

He's coming is never used in a good way most of the time.

"What did she say?" China asked me.

"She's spending the day with Daniel." I said.

"Awww how sweet." she said, smiling. Except not really, Chi. I can promise that whatever he's doing to her isn't sweet.

"Mhm." I said, finishing my soda. "What do you want to do now?"

"We can just go back to your place or my place and chill." she said. "I'm feeling very lazy today."

"Agreed." I said, laughing. "Too full to do anything else."

"Exactly." she responded. I got up from the table, throwing our garbage away. Getting back to my place, China and I both plopped down on my couch and turned on the TV, not really caring what was on. She laid her feet out across my lap, her eyes in her phone and my eyes in mine. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, liking whatever was appealing. My mind kept wondering back to Sofia, so I texted her again.

Me: If by any chance you are free later.. will you come over.. or can I come over..?

Baby Carson: Yeah.. I'll try

Me: ❤️

Baby Carson: ❤️

I hope she gets back to me, if not, I probably know why. I wanted to tell her I love her, so bad, because I do, but I know she would think that was weird. I never straight out tell my friends "I love you.", unless it was China. There's a difference between "Love you" and "I love you", and I always wanted to make sure those differences were known to avoid any confusion.

"I want some cake." I said, looking at China.

"Uhhh."'she said. "Cam.. I.."

"Not that cake, idiot." I said, laughing.

"I'm just playing." she said back, also laughing. "We just got here though and I don't want to have to go back out again."

"Uber eats?" I ask.

"No." China said. "Door Dash."

"Smart choice." I said back. "What type of cake are we going for here?"

"Straight chocolate." she answered. "Chocolate cake, chocolate icing, chocolate kisses, all of it."

"Sooooo." I began. "That can be your cake. I like layers."

"Since when?" she asked. "Because for most of your life, you ate straight chocolate. You cheating on me with other cake lovers?"

"Of course not. It's only you baby. I swear." I said, sticking my tongue out at her. "But things change and I like layers now. I prefer chocolate x vanilla x pineapple with strawberry icing."

"I'm going to throw the fuck up, Cameron." she said, fake gagging.

"We're all entitled to our own opinions, here." I say. "Thomas likes it too."

"Thomas also watched the fucking human centipede." she said.

"True." I said back. "Ima still get this cake the way I want it though."

"Just make sure it don't touch mine." she said. I gave her a thumbs up, ordering our cake. After it got here and we ate it, we decided that we wanted to play Rock Band for a little bit. It was getting later and later and I still haven't heard from Sofia. I really wanted to believe that she was okay, but a very strong part of me knew that she wasn't. She showed all the signs, signs that you couldn't ignore and it still pisses me off that everyone can't see it.

"See you tomorrow?" China asked, giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"You already know." I said, hugging her back and giving her a kiss on her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too, Cam." she said. I closed my door, sighing and sitting back down on my couch, my face in the palm of my hands.
