"You're up early." I said to a shirtless Cameron, sitting at the counter eating a breakfast sandwich.

"Yeahhh." he said, mouth full of food. "Just a lot of thoughts on my mind, but hey you're up early too."

"Yeah, but I'm always up this early." I said. "I know for fact that you're not, but what are you mooching on?"

"Only the king of all mother fucking sandwiches." he laughed. "Eggs, bacon, pepperoni, BBQ sauce, mayo, ranch, and jalapeño chips."

"That sounds like a lot." I giggled.

"It is. Want a bite though?" he asked, mouth full of sandwich, holding it up for me to take a bite, which I did. "See it's good ain't it?"

"I'll give it a B+." I said. "Take the ranch out and it gets an A-."

"You're just hating now." he laughed.

I was curious. Very curious about why him and China broke up. I've had a crush on Cameron for the longest, but of course that could never blossom because him and China blossomed first, but here was my chance again.

"If you don't mind me asking." I said as I swallowed. "Why did you and Chi go your separate ways. I mean you guys were perfect."

"It was just a distance thing really. And then we were both caught up in our activities, clubs, Greek life and shit. We were fighting, accusing each other of dumb shit when in reality we were just tired of not being close to each other." he said. "We both decided that if time brings us back together that we'd get back together, but if not, then we're just cool keeping it how we've kept it."

"That's understandable." I said, taking a seat next to him. "You look so tired."

"That's because I am." he said. "But once everyone is up and jumping around, I'll be up and jumping around too. Plus this whole group tattoo event is gonna be something."

"What are you gonna get?" I asked.

"Equality across my forearm." he said showing me. I took the opportunity to lightly tread my fingers across the area he was gonna get it on.

"They are going to shave off, all that arm hair." I laughed. "And it's gonna look so funny."

"Hey hey." China said to the both of us, walking down the stairs.

"Good morning sunshine." Cam said, smiling at her.

"Hey babes." I said.

"She's hates the master sandwich, Chi." Cam said, glaring at me.

"We can't be friends anymore." China said to me. "The master sandwich, is the best fucking sandwich."

"Is this a high creation?" I asked.

"You're damn right it's a high creation." Cameron said, defending the sandwich. "The best thing that all of us, except for YOU, thought of. You were passed out, cold, on the couch while the rest of us had the munchies, but no one could think straight enough to drive."

"You only have yourself to blame." he added.

"But if I think it's not all that now, wouldn't I have thought that it isn't all that then too?" I questioned.

"You have different taste buds when you're high, mamas." China said. "Sometimes they stick, sometimes they don't. But Cam. Can I talk to you in the living room really quickly?"

"Can it wait until I finish my sandwich?" he asked, mid bite.

"No, dummy." she said, rolling her eyes. "Now please."

"Fine fine." he said, getting up. "This better be good." I leaned against the counter, interested to know what they were talking about. I watched as they talked, how they smiled at each other, the way Cameron blushed and bit his lip. If they weren't together, what on Earth could have him this happy talking to her. He leaned into her, whispering something in her ear before putting their foreheads together, biting his lip again. Interesting. Did they ever really breakup because that is not breakup behavior, but then again even in their best friend stages before their relationship, they acted like this huge ass couple. And that's when I fell for him.

Seeing the way he treats China, I realized I also craved that attention. I know. I could maybe look for that in another guy, but why? When the perfect one is right in front of me and I don't have to play any guessing games? Cameron was always a sweetheart, from the day we met. He's never given any one a reason to dislike him. He was truthful, down to earth, everything a girl could desire, at least in my eyes.

She playfully pushed him away, the both of them laughing. I quickly pretending like I was scrolling through my phone as they made their way back into the kitchen.

"What else does T have in this house?" she questioned, looking for an answer from the both of us.

"He has it all." Cam answered. "Cereal, pancakes, waffles, french toast stixs, the whole spectrum."

"Now that sounds appetizing." I said.

"You'll learn love the sandwich one day, sweetie." Cam said to me. "Until then, let grown folks dabble in grown folks meals."

"You're far from a 'grown folk'" I said, rolling my eyes. "But I'll say less."

I don't know what's going on between you and China, but I'll say less.
