Harry's P.O.V (Tuesday)

Malfoy drags me through the corridors briskly. Every time I try to say anything he turns around and glares at me with a look of such hatred that I can't do anything but shut up. I realize we must be heading back to our room after we pass a familiar angel painting that giggles and waves at me as we walk by. He must want to talk, just not in public. We soon reach the familiar corridor of identical doors and enter the one that is ours. As soon as the door shuts behind me Malfoy wastes no time turning the tables on me by pushing me up against the nearest wall, pinning me so I can't escape.

"What the f*** was that?" Malfoy hissed with the same venom he had spoken within Transfiguration.

"I... I..."

He doesn't let me continue.

"That was messed up... that was really-"

The blond Slytherin doesn't get to finish that statement as he starts to break down in tears. I can't do anything but stare in shock as I watch the previously egotistical and pretentious prick I knew began to crumple to the floor and weep. I gained control of my limbs once more and I reach out to touch Malfoys shoulder, but not before he notices and quickly smacks my hand away.

"Don't. You. Touch. Me."

His voice is laced deep with a burning hatred that seems to tear my soul in two. The thought of how I could have stooped so low to get back at someone made me feel repulsed by myself. How would I feel if everyone around me blamed me for the deaths of The War? I can feel tears sting my eyes as he stands up and wipes his face with his robes, avoiding my gaze.

"We need to get back to class" he states with an empty tone.

"Draco... I..."

He turns and gives me a stinging glare.

"It's Malfoy."

Draco's P.O.V

How... how dare he! How dare he say something so cruel and then try to call me by my first name! I can feel his gaze burning into the back of my neck as we make our way back to Transfiguration but I ignore it the best I can. I know he wants to say something but I can't bring myself to want to hear it. And to think I was going to thank him for speaking up at the trial for me and my mother. Apparently, he just wants to use it as leverage against me. I am a fool for thinking he is different than anyone else in this school. He's just like everyone else.

The rest of the day goes by in silence. Anytime Potter tries to say anything I can't help but shoot it down. I don't want to hear what he has to say. At least not now. After what feels like centuries, it is finally time to go to dinner. I enter the Great Hall, with Potter dragging behind me, and am about to go to the 8th year table, but something catches my eye. I turn and my mouth drops open in shock as I see Pansy and Blaise standing against one of the walls chatting away. I thought Pansy wasn't going to come back for 8th year!?

"Pansy!" I exclaim as I rush over to where she is standing with Blaise, dragging an unconsenting Potter in my wake.

Pansy's face lights up when she sees me and she rushes over to me and then embraces me.

"Oh Dragon, I have missed you so much!!" she chirps happily.

Normally, I would have gotten annoyed at the nickname, but I am too happy about her arrival to feel annoyed with her. Even if she was a bit... clingy... she was still the same Pansy that stuck by me throughout all my years at Hogwarts. I trust her with my life. Once we broke the embrace I ask her:

"I thought you weren't coming for 8th year? What happened?"

She answers,

"Well, I changed my mind. I guess as much as I wish I didn't, I really miss this place."

I can't help but embrace her one more time.

"I'm so glad you are here," I whisper.

I pull back to look at her and Blaise and they look at me as though I just sprouted three heads.

"You've changed..." Pansy whispers and smiles, indicating she thinks it's a good thing.

"He has," Blaise adds with a smile of his own.

I smile back, I haven't realized how much I have missed them.

It isn't long before Pansy's happy gaze drifts over to Potter, who I have forgotten was here, and is replaced by a look of confusion. She turns back to me and asks:

"What is Potter is doing here..? And Why are you guy's hands conne-"

Pansy doesn't get to finish her sentence before Blaise interrupts and explains the situation.

"These two got into a scuffle in potions and spilled a physical binding potion all over themselves. They are stuck like this for a week"

I see a smile creep up on Pansy's face and she gives me a subtle knowing look. Pansy is the only one who I have ever told about my crush on the Gryffindor. I give Pansy a blank stare as I can feel my eyes begin to gloss over. Her knowing look swaps for a one of concern and I simply shake my head and mouth "I'll write to you later about it." She nods and then changes the subject.

"Welp! I'm starving. Why don't we go and grab some grub! I can't tell you how much I have missed Hogwarts food"

She smiles and starts to walk alongside Blaise to the 8th year table, motioning for me, and, indirectly, Potter to follow. She sends one more calculating glance Potter and I's way before we take our seats.
