Rose ran. Why? Well, for starters, she didn't want to be eaten by the weird half donkey half bronze woman behind her. This creature had flaming hair and vicious fangs that looked as if they could penetrate steel.

One of her legs was that of a donkey, and the other was made of bronze. So while she chased them it sounded like, click, THUNK, click, THUNK.

"I am Kelli the empousai! I will kill you in Tartarus' name!" Kelli screeched at them.

"That's a stupid name!" Rose yelled at her. Of course she didn't think that at all, she just wanted to aggravate her for some reason. She didn't know why she was mad, but she was.

When she ran into someone, she understood why she wanted to insult everyone. The man stood tall, his eye sockets bursting with flame.

He wore an army jacket and biker boots. A huge motorcycle was parked by a nearby tree. Before Rose had the chance to examine this huge man anymore, Clarisse gasped.

"Dad?" She asked, touching his arm to make sure he was real. Kelli yelped and ran the opposite way.

"Ares?" Matthew asked, clearly in shock. Ares did a hearty laugh and Kelli turned into a boar. She cried out and disappeared.

"Dad!" Clarisse smiled. Her smile disappeared when Ares looked her in the eyes. Rose's anger boiled more intensely and she wanted to shoot an arrow in his eye. "What are you doing here?"

"Zeus sent me to take him." Ares replied. His voice sounded dangerous. His mouth was turned into a resting scowl. He pointed at Chryses.

"Me? Is Zeus still mad at me for killing his son? I waited the time he told me. Why can't he get over that? That was millennia ago!" Chryses said. Ares rolled his eyes.

"Well, Zeus wants to see you. Why he didn't come here himself, I don't know. Him and his lazy, godly butt." Thunder boomed in the distance.

"You simply cannot take Chryses! He's our guide to a gateway to the Underworld!" Rose said, stepping in front of Chryses protectively. Ares merely pushed her to the side and grabbed Chryses's arm. She landed on her arm with a terrifying crunch.

"Hey!" Chryses said, trying to pull from his grasp. Of course, he was only a son of Apollo. He was being abducted by a god of war. Without thinking, Rose notched an arrow and shot Ares in the arm. Golden ichor ran down his elbow. He roared in anger, and she was lifted off the ground.

"Put her down this instant!" Matthew yelled, unsheathing his sword. He seemed ready to attack.

"I'm fine!" Rose said, most certainly not fine. Her arm was most likely sprained or broken, and she was being lifted by her shirt by Ares, the most fearsome god of war; who was probably going to turn her into a boar or some pitiful creature.

"Hey, um, mister Ares, god dude, can you please put me down? My arm really hurts and we just want to be on our way."

"You want to fight little girl? I dare you." Ares roared, tossing her aside like a rag. She hit the ground with a THUD and Matthew rushed over to her. He put a comforting hand on her shoulder and glared at the god.

"I hated Hera, but I think I hate you even more." He growled. He stopped looking at Ares and to the shadows behind him. "Is that a person?"
