Chapter Seven
Confession
It's early morning, and I'm already pissed and irritated. Spencer Lagdameo ordered me to join him at the dining table. Like I'd like to!
This isn't part of my schedule today. I never guessed that Spencer Lagdameo would follow in his grandfather's footsteps.
Lucia ililibing at wala talaga akong pakialam. If only he didn't require my presence. Damn him. I am not in the mood to go out and see people now.
"Why do I have to be there pa ba, ha? Pupunta ka naman. Bakit pa ako kailangang sumama? Ayokong makakita ng mga tao ngayon! I only want to see my pigs!"
"Pakikiramay tawag diyan, senyorita."
"Pakikiramay? Baka pakikipag-plastik?"
Anong pakikiramay? Duh! As if the De Silva's would love to see me there. Certainly, that family despises me, like how I dislike Amber and Spencer Lagdameo. So why even bother to flaunt my awesomeness there? They don't deserve my magnificent presence.
"Whatever you call that, you need to be there."
"You sound like Salvador Elizondo himself, don't you know that?"
Nagkibit-balikat lang siya.
I wasn't expecting such a reaction from him. Being compared to that old geezer is not even flattering. Didn't he know that Salvador Elizondo is the bastards of all bastards? I grew up watching that old geezer's rudeness and bullshits.
"Hey, you." "Don't you even get flattered if someone compared you to that old man. Hindi mo kilala ang matandang iyon."
"I know him better than you do."
I move a muscle in my face. "Why?"
"I'll tell you when you grow up."
"Bastard."
He smirked. "That's my other name."
He stood up after wiping the sides of his mouth.
"Are you done?"
"Yes. After you finish your food, prepare yourself."
"Huh?" nagtataka kong sambit saka muling sinilip ang plato niya.
