"BAKUGO AND MIDORIYA."
Three words.
Three. Words.
Three words were enough to change his life.
Izuku, shaking with fear, looked over at his childhood bully, Katsuki Bakugo. Bakugo had a snarl on his face, and he turned to look at Izuku with rage growing in his ruby red eyes. Izuku whimpered, and slowly looked back down at his desk.
The whispering started not soon after.
"Baku-bro and Midoriya?"
"Seriously- the dude's insane!"
"He's totally gonna hurt Deku!"
"I agree completely- all he's ever done is hurt Midoriya."
Bakugo clenched his jaw tight and scowled at his desk.
Izuku scanned the room- the rest of the pairings made perfect sense- Mina and Sero, Denki and Jiro, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu, Asui and Tokoyami, Uraraka and Iida, Ojiro and Hagakure, Shoji and Sato, Koda and Mineta, (poor guy), and Kirishima, who was the only one who wasn't paired up- for some reason though, he looked extremely happy- he looked like he new something that the others didn't.
"Now, all of you are to return to the dorm rooms. You've been reassigned to a different dorm- this one has half the number of rooms, and they each have a bathroom and kitchen. You've be staying there with your partner for the rest of the school year. Go." Aizawa stated, walking causally out of the room.
Everyone else seemed totally cool. Nothing wrong, nothing weird or awkward, just relaxed.
Deku but his lip to keep from crying. Staying in the same room as Kacchan? No way- he'd be in actual danger, and Aizawa didn't seem to care.
Bakugo headed out the door without another word.
"W-wait, Kacchan!" Izuku yelled, running after Bakugo.
"The hell do you want?" The blonde snarled, causing Izuku to shrink in fear.
"I-I just want to ask if...if...ifyouareokaysharingadormroom!" Midoriya yelled, clutching his bags to his chest and hiding the barley noticeable blush on his face.
"Of course I'm not fucking okay with it," Katsuki spat. "Why would anyone wanna spend more time than they have to with you?"
He turned around and walked out of the school. Izuku trailed behind him at a much slower pace. He didn't even care when tears started dripping from his eyes.—————————
Dammit. Dammit, dammit, dammit, DAMMIT!
Bakugo crashed onto a park bench and put his head in his hands.
Of course, of COURSE, out of everybody in the class, he had to wind up with that useless fool.
"The useless, quirkless, weakest, scrawniest, cutest, most insufferable-!"
Bakugo's eyes widened and his lifted his head. WHAT did he just think?!
No way in hell. There was no way in HELL that he liked Izuku. He despised him- he was his greatest rival, and to Bakugo, he was lower than dirt.
Katsuki was surprised to see a tear fall onto his hand.
It doesn't matter. Either way, no matter if I like him or not, even though I DON'T...there's no way he'd like me back. I'm an asshole who's done nothing but be horrible to him. I told him he was worthless- I told him to kill himself, for God's sake! There was no way he could make up for those things.
I knew it, he thought.
I'll never be good enough for him.———————
Midoriya arrived at the new dormitory first. He walked up to the second floor, and saw a name plate with his name on it-
Katsuki and Izuku Bakugo.
Izuku smiled.
Izuku Bakugo, Huh?
HUH?!
He was ripped out of his thoughts as he stared at the name, completely mortified- it was carved into the plate, and it was screwed to the wall- there was no way he could replace it or get rid of it. His face burned, and he unlocked the door and slammed it shut behind him as fast as he could.
Katsuki was going to kill him.
Eventually, he calmed down enough to admire his surroundings. It didn't look like a dorm room at all- it looked more like a high-end condo than anything- there was a separate kitchen with an island and extra seating, a huge glass sliding door and window that led to a sizable balcony with furniture, a cozy living room with a fireplace, a bathroom, and a master bedroom with its own bathroom. It was pretty nice.
Just as Izuku was going to start making something to eat, the door was nearly blown off of its hinges.
"WHAT THE HELL IS ON THE DOOR?!" Bakugo screamed.
"I, Uh, I, I didn't, it wasn't my," Izuku trailed off, paling, as he played with his fingers and tried not to make eye contact. Bakugo was seething, and his hair covered almost his entire face.
I guess he doesn't even wanna look at me, huh?
"I-I'm making dinner," Izuku stumbled. "I-I remember you like spicy things...does chicken and rice sound okay? IfnotIcantotallymakesomethingelsejustpleasedon'thurtme!" He rambled.
Bakugo's eyes widened. No wonder his was so jittery- Deku was scared that Katsuki would actually hurt him. Bakugo willed away the tears forming in his eyes.
I can't let him know...I'll just keep treating him like shit, even if it kills me. Maybe he'll finally get mad enough to find someone good enough for him instead of hanging around me all the time.
"Whatever," Bakugo scoffed, trying his best to look away from Izuku's panicked face. He wondered into the bedroom, trying to find his stuff. Why were there two suitcases on the bed? It was a pretty large bed to- definitely one that could fit two people.
WHAT?
"DEKU GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW!" Katsuki screamed.
