Following The Guard
Kion and Fuli woke up how they fell asleep, huddled together. Since they saw no one watching them, they stayed together for a while until Ono came out of nowhere startling them.
"Welcome back, Kion!" Ono said. "We knew Fuli would find you eventually."
"Kion!" Bunga said, hugging him. "You're back!"
"Thanks guys, but we all know we have a bigger problem. I've seen the Pride Lands." Kion replied
"How?" Beshte asked
"Baadaye. It means see you, Mufasa taught me. I know what our powers can do. You know, I would've been willing to let you use my specialty, if not see me, but none of you tried."
"I should've guessed that you would've helped in whatever way you could from a distance." Ono said
"I know this is all touching, but shouldn't we be trying to figure what we want to do before night's up?" Anga said
"Yes," Kion replied, "I have a leopard friend who's collecting as many animals who are willing to fight against Makucha. Her name's Paka.
"Makucha used to be her mate, and they had cubs, but Makucha abandoned them as soon as they were born, leaving Paka to take of them all by herself." Fuli added. "She said ' I'd like to kill him with his blood on my paws.', referring to Makucha. I snarled at her when I first met her, due to being a leopard and all."
"Is there anything you're gonna tell them, or are you gonna leave it up to me?" Kion asked Fuli
"Oh," Fuli said, "we can tell that story together."
"You see, it turns out that I was with Fuli for the past few days, she just didn't notice it until I saved her from Makucha and Chuluun. I had mud all the way up to my shoulder I always smelled like mint, except for the first day, when I smelled like fox-dung. I was going by the name Uongozi, or Uon. Not really creative considering my name is Kiongozi, or Kion, are Uongozi and Kiongozi are essentially synonyms." Kion added
"You could've kept your identity hidden for longer," Fuli started
"But I cared too much for you. I had no idea how much using the Roar would take out of you." Kion answered, nuzzling up to Fuli.
"Bunga," Fuli said, "don't you dare 'aaww' us this time."
"Oh," Bunga said, "I know all about that, since I have a girlfriend now too. Her name's Asali, the sweetest honey badger I've ever met. She was thrown in prison as well, for just suggesting a better hunting path."
"I actually think we've all got girlfriends or boyfriends that were thrown into prison for some ridiculous reason. My girlfriend's name is Nia." Ono said
"Nguvu," Beshte added
"Erevo," Anga said
"So now that we're all caught up, I need you to prepare in some way before we arrive in a few days." Kion said
"If any of you escape, watch the setting sun and we'll be coming from that direction. Or find a way to give Kiara or Kovu that information." Fuli added
"We have a skink in our cell that can easily get to Kiara, should we tell him?" Bunga asked
"Yes," Kion said seriously, "tell him to prepare for war."
