Following Fuli and Uon in a dream

Uon woke up in his nest next to Fuli, and realized he wouldn't be telling Fuli about it in the morning, but soon.  Uon walked up to Fuli, and woke her up gently. "Fuuls, wake up, I need to tell you something." Uon said

"Wha?" Fuli asked, barely awake. "Uon? Why are you here? I just fell asleep."

"You realize we're sharing a dream, right?" Uon asked. "Just follow me to the watering hole, I need to show you something."

"Okay?" Fuli asked

"Just remember, leap to conclusions and" Uon started

"you leap to confusions." Fuli finished. "Even though ever since that incident with Makucha and Chuluun, I think I know what you're going to show me."

"Just follow me and I'll show you." Uon said, the mud cracking around his shoulder.

"Does this involve me going into water?" Fuli asked

"Not at all, Fuuls." Uon replied, jumping into the water. "But it does involve me getiing wet.  And I bet you know who I am."

"I need to see you to be sure." Fuli stated as Uon jumped out of the river, the mud completely cleared from his shoulder, revealing the Mark of the Guard on his shoulder.

"Now you know who I am." Uon replied

"Kion!" Fuli exclaimed, breathing in Kion's sweet uncovered scent. "If you were here, why didn't you come back all this time?"

"I feel like I failed you all.  And I also saw that mom and dad died.  I don't think I can back." Kion replied

"I know what it feels like to mourn a loved one.  My mom died in the war."  Fuli replied

"I didn't know Duma died.  I think we should head back now, though.  How long did you know I was Kion?"

"I knew that you were hiding something ever since I met you outside the oasis, and when you stopped me from using the Roar."

"I had no idea how tiring it would've been to lend you the Roar.  I had to defend you."

"That's why you stopped me from using it?"

"Exactly."

The dream started to fade away

Following Kion and Fuli in the real world

While Kion and Fuli were dreaming, they huddled together in their sleep.  The mud around Kion's shoulders fell off.  Once Kion and Fuli woke up to Paka staring at them, they immediately jumped away from each other and started to groom their selves.

'Paka knows my real identity, so don't worry about calling me Uon anymore.'  Kion told Fuli through thought

'So she was just playing along the whole time?'  Fuli asked back

'I asked her to.  I wasn't ready to go back, but I am now.'

"If you two love birds are finished, did you tell her?" Paka asked Kion

"Yes," Kion replied, "I told her who I am."

"He did." Fuli agreed. "And how long were we huddled together?"

"More than a few moments.  You were like that ever since I woke up, and I hunted for you.  Kion, you're heading back now, right?" Paka asked

"Yes." Kion replied. "We're heading out to get revenge on Makucha."

"Makucha!" Paka spat

"Yes," Fuli said, "did he do something to you?"

"He did everything to me." Paka said, her words laced with venom aimed at Makucha. "He was my mate before he abandoned me and my cubs.  I would want to kill him with blood on my paws."
