We all gathered at Sheriff's place. After a long time, I laughed openly. I was feeling good today. Last happiness came to my life when I gave birth to Sebastian. And it was today, when I was feeling better.
"Sheriff and Minty, I wanted to ask you something..."
"Yes, what is it now?"
"Why didn't you people tell me that day, that I was pregnant? I forgot to ask you people."
"Lol. You're now asking it after 5 years?"
They all laughed at me.
"No, no, I was just thinking about it last night. I was thinking about it often, I forgot to ask every time..."
"It was nothing, Doctor just said that we should avoid giving you shock and mental stress at the moment. So we didn't tell you."
"I was thinking the same thing..."
"And our mood wasn't good because you didn't tell us about Sebastian's dad"
"But I did tell you after 2 days!"
"After 2 days!"
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry"
It was a good day. Much better. I was feeling fresh. We spent hours together. And I returned earlier, because Sebastian had school the next day.
I picked up Sebastian from school. He had a habit of sleeping during the day time. He slept and I made a mug of coffee and went in my art gallery upstairs.
I took Sebastian up, we talked for a while and went out.
"Mum! Would you mind buying me that candy?"
"Oh come on, Sebastian, you'll get plaque"
"Just one mum, please!"
"Alright... Alright!"
We entered the candy shop. I and Sebastian usually went for a walk in the evening before me leaving for work. The candy shop was near and the shopkeeper also lived in my neighborhood. He was an old man. But so much cooperative and nice.
"Hello Mr. Jacob!"
"Hello Silvestra! Which chocolate do you want now, lil' champ?"
We were deciding, meanwhile, a voice from behind came,
"Two Cotton Candies please".
I looked at the tall guy. I wasn't shocked but I became nervous.
"Hey, Silvestra, how are you?"
"I'm fine Zeus."
"Is that kid yours?"
"Undoubtedly"
"That kid is adorable"
"Thanks Sir", Sebastian said.
"Let's go mum!", Sebastian continued.
We came out of the shop.
"I didn't like that man, mom."
"Haha. Alright my love, we won't talk to him again"
We were just walking back to home,
"Silvestra!"
Uhh, he came back! Now what does he want!
"Yes?"
"I just wanted to say sorry"
"Ahan, it's ok."
"Can't we get back together? Or you have a husband or boyfriend, huh?"
"Look, Zeus, everything between us ended 11 years ago. And now everything's different. I don't even know the reason"
"The reason was so silly. I was an idiot. I fell for a girl but she left me. I missed you so much. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Can't we just fix everything?"
(Oh so he wanted me back when someone else ditched her?)
"It's alright. But I'm sorry, my baby wants to continue the life as it is going now. And I'm also committed to someone."
"Alright. Good to see you move on. Well, you can contact me whenever you need help or something."
"Ok. Thanks. Bye"
We came home and I started preparing for going for work.
"Who was that man, mommy?"
"He was just a good man. He was asking if we're comfortable living here."
"I didn't like him."
"Ahan, it's ok darling, we often dislike people for no reason"
"Why was he convincing so much?"
"Oh Sebastian! You ask too many questions! Take your soccer ball and get in the car!"
"Ok mom."
I was thinking about it. Why these kinds of things happen to me. Zeus returned in my life after so many years to say sorry? Alright, I had already forgiven him a long time ago, when I fell for Sedrick. Zeus was my first love, I can't even call him first love, it was certainly an attachment. But I loved Sedrick even more than him, more than anything. And after Sedrick, there's just one person. My baby, Sebastian.
I wish Sebastian's dad were also with us. I would have a complete family. But that wasn't meant to be. I never told Sebastian about his dad. But when he'll grow up, he would want an answer, then I'll tell him about his father, God knows what would be his reaction.
