Chapter 19 The Restart

3rd Person POV

The day after Jack had met Paityn, who is the skillful hero Specter, Jack had found Ace with Richard at... Ark mountain's cliff? The cliff was quite long and Ace was standing right on the edge. Jack hid behind a tree and watched from afar, but close enough to eavesdrop on the conversation. Ace turned towards Richard with his blue fire rapidly moving from the wind, "Explain to me why we're here again?" he repeated.

"We're here to help you get stronger, remember" Richard answered, "Now, do you trust me?" Ace thought about it for a little bit then replied, "Yes, Yes I do" Richard grinned and placed his hand on Ace's chest, "Great, good luck" he commented then pushed Ace off the cliff.  Ace screamed at the top of his lungs as he fell, the sounds echoing and bouncing off the rock walls, Richard walked over with his hands behind his back and peered over the mountain,

"Remember!  You have the Mind Pheonix!  You gotta have faith in order to fly!" He shouted Ace calmed down but was taking quick, fast breaths.  

"Ok Ace, you got this, just gotta believe, just gotta believe!" He muttered as he spread out his arm and made his blue wings cover his arm.  He swooped himself up and was pretty proud at his achievement, "Hah!  Hahaha!  I did it!" he cheered.  He flew up above the cliff, flapping his wings to keep himself up.  Richard looked with amazement, "Well done Ace" Ace just smiled back at him, 

"Alright, now let's work on discovering your abilities" Richard explained placing his hand on his hips, "Yes, Sir" Ace nodded, flying back down to ground level.  Jack watched with envy in his eyes, "That was really cool, I want that power" he cursed.  Then he felt his hand point back to Sweet Honey Valley, he wondered why he pointed there so he went to go check it out.  As he got closer to town, he started hearing screams of terror and explosions.  His eyes widen and he had started sprinting over, "No time to call the team, by the time I call them, the people there might be dead" Jack thought as he reached the town.  He entered where all the screaming was and it was in the middle of the street, a guy was flying in the air with bodies scattered around him.  They didn't look like they were dead, but they were passed out.  Jack loaded his gun, 

"Hey!" he called out, the person turned, revealing a bald black man with a menacing look on his face, the man wore a standard black bulletproof vest and a dark cape.  Jack shot his gun recklessly, not realizing that he only had rubber bullets, The man snickered and caught the rubber bullet, 

"And who might you be, Young Cowboy?" The man asked.  Jack sighed, "Shit, I forgot to Change my bullets last night" He looked back up at the man, "I'm Ja- I mean, I'm the Silver Deadeye" he replied, What a crappy name.  The man stared at him with pity like Jack was just an ant, 

 "Well, Silver Deadeye, It appears to me that you have powers I can steal" he stated, Jack, put his bandana on his mouth, "What?  Powers?  Steal?" he questioned, very confused on what this man was talking about.  The man sighed and attacked Jack by sandwiching two cars into him.  Jack just used his shockwave punches to get out, "Hey!  Come on!  These are my only clothes" Jack stated, "Interesting, the power to send shockwaves with punches and the ability to survive any physical damage like nothing, I must certainly take his powers after all" The man explained,

"I'm right here pal!" Jack reminded.  The man raised his hand and made some Super matter come out of Jack's mouth and into his hand.  The man absorbed it and sniffed the air,

"Ah... it feels nice to have these new lovely powers" he complimented with a smirk.  Jack fell to the ground on his knees, feeling weak, "Wha... What did you do to me?" he asked as he tried to send a shockwave punch.  Only to realize that nothing had come out, the man put on a straight face as he looked down on Jack, "I have taken all of your powers" Jack's eyes widen and grabbed his gun to shoot him, that being the man, but he missed.  The man looked at him with nothing but arrogance, "It seems you are desperate, I admire that" he complimented.  Jack got up and ran away, but the man followed him.  Jack had to think of an idea, he knew he couldn't win without his powers.  The man started using nearby objects to hit Jack, not knowing that he had Jack's deadeye ability.  Jack scrambled through the town, turning every corner to try to lose him, but it was no use, he was too fast for Jack.  Then Jack remembered, "Call me if you need any help" he remembered that Paityn gave him his number just in case.  He should've called him straight from the start.  He picked up the phone Ace handed him and speed-dialed Paityn.  Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring.  Then he picked up, "Hello?" Paityn answered Jack started shouting, "Paityn I need help!  I'm in Sweet Honey Valley" Paityn's voice changed, "Got it" he replied and hung up.
