I came to you in tears

And you closed your eyes

I showed you my scars

And you turned away

I offered myself

And you laughed in my face

I hurt myself

And you cried over me

I let you use me

And you hurt me more

What use is unrequited love?

I asked

And you stayed silent

I was warm

And you were unbearably cold

I loved

And you hated

I was nothing

And you were everything

I had a heart

And you were empty

You were hollow

You were emotionally dead

Until I lost hope

Until I died

Then, you cried.
