Sometimes people come into your life
by kicking down the door and messing everything up
They destroy you from the ground up
and then are surprised when you fall apart
Well excuse the everliving fuck out of me
for being a soft-skinned human being
with actual, full-blown emotions!
How do you poke holes into a foundation
and then wonder why the building collapses?
But just like those buildings,
you can rebuild yourself from the scraps,
and the bravest thing you can do
is move on, without those people
who kicked in your door and broke all your metaphorical shit
They don't deserve to be a part of the life they destroyed
