Today was the day

It was the day I was finally going to ask Nia to marry me

We are both ready now and have a baby on the way

I already got the proposal ring when I got the promise ring

So now I have to plan everything and then ask her

I was going to get aaliyah to wear a t-shirt saying ' mummy will you marry my daddy ' and then I'll stand behind Nia and when she turns around she'll see me on one knee

I hope everything goes out planned

I brought Aaliyah to my room and put her in the t-shirt while Nia was in the kitchen making food for aaliyah

I get into comfy yet presentable clothing and get the ring from the secret place I hid it in

We both go downstairs and go into the living room where Nia will arrive shortly to give aaliyah her food but then see her shirt

I hear footsteps walking closer to us and quickly hide so the moment can happen

Nia had the food in her hands when she saw aaliyahs shirt and her eyes widened

" what's this" she said confused

Her back was facing towards me meaning I could go up behind her

I tip toe behind her and get down on one knee

" grayson? Grays-" she called out but got cut off when she turned around and saw me on one knee

Her eyes started getting glossy and I gave her a smile

My hand tangled with hers as I took in a deep breath to stop myself from crying and started my speech

" Nia , we've come a long way . We've been through hell and back with all the Dylan and Alexa thing . We have a baby on the way and you don't understand how happy I am . You make me smile and feel loved . There's no one else I'd rather spend my life with . You're everything I've been looking for in a woman and when I found you , you completed me Nia . You're my soulmate , my everything, my other half but most importantly you'll always be my best friend no matter what happens between us . I love you to the moon and back and I wouldn't want our relationship any other way . May you make me the most happiest I've ever been and marry me Nia?" I asked opening the ring box for her to see the ring glisten

Her hands were on her mouth as tears started spilling out of her eyes

This was all I've ever wanted

" yes Grayson , yes , yes yes " she cried out jumping onto me to give me a big loving hug

" I love you so so much " she cried

I run my hands through her hair as we sat down on the floor with her on my lap and her arms around my shoulder
