CAPTURED BY A DICK WITH A KNIFE AS A HAND
I was resting before I joined Maggie and Glenn on a run this afternoon. I needed to get my strength up by then, and I probably could if I wanted to, so I was going to. I was sat up and eating my breakfast by myself and ignoring the conversation made by Rick, whom had returned from the catacombs.
Once I finished, I made my way over to the others. I set my bowl down and went back to get ready for the run. I saw my knives and my bow on the top bunk. I smiled lightly as I grabbed them and then my arrows. I took off my holster and just decided to take my knife and crossbow. I only made it slightly out my cell before Daryl dragged me back in. I stared at him confused.
"You be careful," Daryl ordered.
I chuckled, "I'm always careful out there Daryl."
"I know, but I'm serious Red. If anything else happens to ya...I don't know if I could survive that."
I slung my crossbow over my shoulder before taking Daryl's head into my hands and rested our foreheads together.
"I'll return to ya. I always do, and I always will. You understand?"
Daryl closed his eyes and I followed suit. Daryl wrapped his arms around me and we stood like that for a few seconds longer. I pulled back slightly and kissed Daryl's cheek before I went to leave. I jogged down the stairs before walking outside and hopped into the back of the waiting van. Glenn and Maggie glanced between each other before shooting me a smirk.
"Don't," I ordered, "nothing even happened."
They shrugged before we started going, I closed and opened the gates for us.We came to a stop a few klicks from the prison. All three of us got out and looked around.
"Clear outside," Maggie informed.
"All right," Glenn sighed, "let's take a look."
I jogged up but stopped short to see Maggie and Glenn share a kiss. I cleared my throat and then pretended to gag. They laughed.
"Oh don't be so rough with us June."
I shrugged before popping the chain off and opened the door to check it out. Birds came flying out, but that was it.
"Clear," I stated, walking in farther.
Glenn followed me in. I searched around a bit before I heard their conversation near the door.
"I also got beans, batteries, cocktail wieners, many mustards," Glenn listed, "it's a straight shot back to the prison from here. Probably make it in time for dinner."
"I like the quiet," Maggie stated, "June, you comin'?"
I smirked before I started for the door, but cut short when I heard a click of a gun.
"And where is it y'all good people are calling home," an unknown voice asked.
I stopped myself short and looked at Glenn, waiting for the call. Glenn gave me a short nod. I lifted the crossbow off and out and came slowly walking out, training it on the unknown man. My eyes had dilated into a manner of concentration and precision.
"Merle," Glenn stated.
The man named Merle laughed in joy.
"Wow."
He started moving forward and Maggie got real defensive.
"Hey, back the hell up," Maggie ordered.
"Okay, okay, honey. Jesus."
He kept moving forward and I took a few steps forward.
"She said back the hell up," I growled out, "move back some prick."
"Feisty. I like you."
"You made it," Glenn commented, slightly angry.
"Can you tell me, is my brother alive? Huh?"
"Yeah.
"Hey, you take me to him and I'll call it even on everything that happened up there in Atlanta. No hard feelings. Huh?"
I could tell he was genuine, but we weren't risking the others. Merle noticed how Glenn glanced at his arm.
"You like that? Yeah. Well, I found myself a medical supply warehouse. Fixed it up myself. Pretty cool, huh?"
"We'll tell Daryl you're here and he'll come out to meet you."
I glanced at Glenn then at Merle. This dipshit is Daryl's brother? The guy I've been told stories about? Well shit, no wonder he had a bad childhood besides his dad. I could tell Merle didn't like that.
"Hold on. Just hold up."
He moved forward some, Glenn didn't like that.
"Hold up here. Hold up. Hey, the fact that we found each other is a miracle. Come on, now. You can trust me."
"You trust us. You stay here."
I glanced at his side to see another gun. I glanced back up and before I could say anything, he shot. I didn't cover I shot my arrow but it only grazed him. I ran around but he had Maggie already at gun point. I stepped back and kept my gaze on him. His arm was bleeding but he didn't seem to care.
"Hey, hey, hold up, buddy, hold up."
"Let go of her, let go of her!"
"Glenn, don't," I ordered, staying still.
"Put that gun in the car right now," Merle ordered, "put it in the car, son."
Glenn did as told. Then Merle looked at me.
"Bow in the car along with your melees feisty. Now."
"It's a crossbow you jackass. You're brother has one too, maybe you should call it how it is before he wipes your ass with the floor."
"Weapons in the car feisty."
"June," Glenn sighed,"just..."
I took off the holsters and chucked them in the car, my eyes never moving away from Merle.
"There you go. Now we're gonna go for a little drive."
"We're not going back to our camp."
"No, we're going somewhere else."
"Get in the car, Glenn! You're driving. Feisty, passenger seat. Now!"
"Go."
I did as told and got into the passenger seat. Glenn got into the driver's side as Merle got in back with Maggie. I clenched and unclenched my fists. I was becoming antsy and I didn't like that.I was sat in a chair, I stared at the table with a glare. I clenched and unclenched my hands in anger. The rope and ductape burned at my wrists. Rope was wrapped around my torso to keep me to the chair and rope and ductape were around my feet. Anyone who came through that door wasn't getting anything out of me. Except death.
