THE SO CALLED JUDGE, JURY, AND EXECUTIONER
Panting, pacing, grunting, and skin-to-skin contact. That's all I've been hearing for the past half hour from outside the door. Daryl was in there, trying to get Randall to talk. I offered to do it, but Rick and Daryl both decided it should be him since I told them of my ticks. It made sense, but I could get the answers we needed without punching the guy to death. But whatever they decide, I guess I'm stuck with.
"I told you-"
"You told me shit," Daryl yelled.
I threw my head back and rolled it to the side, staring at the waiting group while Daryl beat the shit out of Randall and I sat in front of the door.
"I barley knew those guys," Randall explained, "I met 'em on the road."
"How many in your group?"
"Uh, no no no no no no no no no. Come on, man."
I peaked in to see Daryl pulled out his knife. Here we go.
"How many?!"
"Uh, 30. 30. 30 guys."
"Where?"
"Uh..."
I heard Randall scream in pain. Meaning Daryl did something.
"I don't know. I swear! We were never any place more than a night."
"Scouting? Planning on staying local?"
"I—I don't know. They-they left me behind."
"Did you ever pick off a scab?"
"Come on, man! I'm—I'm trying to cooperate."
"Start real slow at first."
"No."
"Sooner or later, you've just gotta rip it off."
I had enough. I stood up and threw the door open, making Daryl turn towards me with a scowl. Randall looked scared as shit.
"They have weapons. Heavy stuff. Automatics. But I didn't do anything."
"I thought we told you, you were to stand guard Juniper," Daryl sighed.
"I was tired of his screaming," I stared at where his knife was, "get yer dirty knife outta that scab Daryl. Jesus, it's like dealin' with kids."
I shoved Daryl aside as he scowled at me. I grabbed Randall's face and stared at it with my amber eyes beadily. Daryl stood near by awkwardly.
"Okay, okay," Randall pleaded, "we found a small campsite with a guy and his two girls, teenagers. The others touched the girls while they made the dadwatch, but I didn't do any of it! I swear. Please don't eat me, lady."
I smirked as I threw his head back. I turned to Daryl with a blank look.
"30 guys, heavy autos, and likes to rape women. What a group. Go tell the others, I'll hang back and keep watch."
"You're comin' with. No need to keep watch when we're all at the campsite. Besides, think Rick would want you there," Daryl stated.
I shrugged as I followed him out to the others at the campsite. I swung my bat cautiously."Boy there's got a gang, 30 men," Daryl explained, "they have heavy artillery and they ain't looking to make friends. They roll through here, our boys are dead. And our women, they're gonna—they're gonna wish they were."
"What did you do," Carol asked.
"Had a little chat."
I scoffed as Daryl walked abit.
"Chat my ass," I commented.
"No one goes near this guy," Rick ordered.
"Rick, what're you gonna do," Lori asked.
"We have no choice. He's a threat. We have to eliminate the threat."
"You're just gonna kill him," Dale questioned.
"It's settled. I'll do it today."
"Whoa, what," I piped in, "you can't just decide that so quickly Rick. Trust me, it'll lead you down a road you won't completely come back from."
Rick ignored my comment and walked away, with Dale following.
"Rick. Rick!"
He completely ignored me. I threw my hands slightly up.
"You gotta be kidding me..."
I huffed and went back to watch. Walking away angrily. I grumbled my thoughts to myself, but that was it. I sat down aggressively and held the end of my bat while the other was on the ground. I leaned on it and stared in front of me with a scowl. Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick. What are you doin' man.
"Hello," Randall called, "that you crazy lady? Can I get some water?"
I ignored his plead as I observed my bat quietly.
"Please? I'm very thirsty."
I rolled my eyes and stayed put.
"They're gonna kill me, right?"
I chuckled and glanced at Randall with a small friendly smirk.
"No idea kid."
I heard footsteps and I turned up to see Shane come walking out from the side of the shed and scoff.
"Dale, huh," Shane questioned.
I gave him a cold glare, not giving a reply. It wasn't Dale. No one had to tell me anything to come back to my post.
"What, he put you on death watch? Let me ask you something—say I wanted to go in there right now and I just wanted to take care of this, you gonna stop me? Hmm?"
"Trust me, your ass would be on the ground while you cried for someone to get me off you. You wouldn't stand a chance," I replied, looking down to the ground watching a couple ants walk around aimlessly.
"So what, you buy into Dale's sob story?"
"Not my place to say, and not my place to be. Now fuck off Shane."
Shane started ranting off but I ignored it until I finally had enough.
"Listen fuckboy bitchface," I sassed, getting a little frustrated with him, he tensed, "I don't give two shits who you hate, who you like, and what the hell you want to do. Rick's the leader, and he's made some pretty alright choices in my book. What you're thinkin' of doing is stupid and dangerous. Two things you do well. So run along and don't even think about talking to me about this again. Matter of fact, screw off."
Shane scoffed and started off. I smirked in victory until I listened into Randall's talking. One thing I knew he wasn't talking to me. A scowl replaced my face.
"Your dad was gonna let me go till his friend started fighting with him. It got pretty bad. I—I was kinda worried. My camp, we got lots of supplies. You help me, I'll take you and your folks back to my people."
My scowl turned dark as I spun around and threw open the shed door. There stood Carl with Randall. I turned my heated gaze from Carl to Randall.
"Don't spew lies Randall," I growled out, walking towards him as he started backing up in fear, "I can cut you down like a branch on a tree so quick. You put lies in that boys' head again, you'll be answerin' to me before his dad or anybody else."
I turned towards Carl and pulled him roughly out of the shed, slamming the door behind me for effect and hauled his ass a few feet away.
"The hell you doing," Iasked.
"Please don't tell my parents," Carl pleaded.
I sighed and rubbed my face. I knelt down and got to eye level with him and held a softer expression, dismissing the anger I currently felt like a switch.
"Carl, you could've gotten hurt in there. Do you understand the lies people could spew at a kid to get them on their side? There's not always good guys out there Carl," I explained.
"I can handle myself," Carl defended.
"I understand that. I understand that completely, but promise me you won't go near him again. Promise me Carl, because your parents cant afford to lose you. I can't always be there to protect you either. Do you hear me?"
"You won't tell my parents, will you?"
"I promise, but you gotta understand a guy like Randall will say anything to you. Anything to you to let him go. To let him rave a little more havoc on people. Now just...go find your mom."
I watched him go until he disappeared. My facial expression quickly turned back to anger as I spun back to the shed and let out a small growl. I walked towards it with a dangerous aura. I slammed open the shed door and trained my beady amber eyes on Randall. He cried out in fear. I stormed up to him and held my bat at his throat as I got in his face.
"Don't you ever speak to that boy again. Do you hear me? You like talking? You talk to me. You talk to nobody else. Nobody. If I hear one lick from the others that you've been talking to them while I'm not guarding you.You better prepare for the utmost horror you've ever seen. You think you've seen me mad? Get ready to be scared into dying, boy."
I shoved off him and walked back out of the shed, shutting the door behind me and sitting back down in front of the door with a dark scowl on my face and an angry aura, warding off basically everyone who even glanced over here.
