You and Mike had been friends for years,you had always been close but lately you've been feeling that he's been pulling away.You had liked him for three years but you never had the courage to tell him.It was a few weeks ago that you found out why he pulled away and you didn't even know the reason well that was until your close friend Max confirmed your suspicions.Mike and Eleven had gotten really close lately and you thought that there was something going on between them.The idea didn't sit well with you so you decided to just brush the idea off,so you did.It was the day that Dustin came home from camp that it felt your nightmare was coming true.Mike and El had been talking very suspiciously the entire time and it honestly made your blood boil.Dustin came up with the amazing idea of taking us on a little trip to a field where he could test out his new invention and allow us to talk to his newly found girlfriend who no body believed actually existed.We all started up some random conversation and it was all fine until Dustin brought up a topic I wasn't comftable discussing.
''So Mike,do you like anyone?''Dustin asked.
''I know how to answer this question.''Mike said.
Before Eleven could say anything Mike dragged her by the arm and pulled her away.
''Mike where are you going?I just got back from camp.''Dustin asked.
''It's curfew.''Mike shouted,his back facing all of us.
''You drank all the water.''Will said to Dustin.
''I think it's gross.''Lucas said.
''Well I think it's romantic.''Max said.
I looked at both Max and Lucas confused until Max turned to me with a sympathetic look on her face it wasn't till then that I knew what she was talking about.Tears filled my eyes.
''Look Y/N-''Max strated but I cut her off.
''No,you look Max I thought you were my friend and friends don't hurt each other like you hurt me.''I said pushing back the tears that had found their way to my eyes.
''Look it's not my fault he doesn't like you,he's better off with El someone who he actually likes.''Max said and she looked like she regretted everything she said.Each word she said stung me as I turned on my heal and ran as fast as I could with hot tears streaming down my face.Eventually my legs gave in and I fell to the floor.I backed myself into a tree and brought my teary eyes to my bruised up muddy kneas.
''Y/N?''I heard from behind me.
I immediately turned around to be met with a familiar face.
