The street was dark. You were riding your bike home because your best friend Stanley Barber had forgotten to pick you up today.You always kept your bike at the diner as this wasn't a common occurrence. That's when you looked up to see Syd across the street, It was dark but you could make out her figure through the occasional raindrops. You rode your bike across the street dropping it by the sidewalk.

"Hey, Syd."You called but she didn't turn around.

"Syd!"You called, thinking maybe she didn't hear you.

She was frozen in place, you ambled towards her and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and you were pulled by a strong force backward causing you to fall on the jagged road. Your knees were bleeding due to your work uniform. Tears filled your eyes, you were scared of her what she had done. She stared at you guilt swimming in her eyes. Her hands were still in front of her in an odd position.

You quickly picked yourself up off of the ground and ran your heart was beating fast in your chest. You felt someone grab your arm and turn you around. Syd.

"What's wrong with you?"You asked taking her hand.

"I'm sorry."She said tears filling her eyes.

Water poured down from the sky causing your clothing to dampen and your cut knees to hurt.

"Syd, please."You pleaded for her to let you go and when she didn't you pulled your arm away and attempted to reach for your bike. She pulled you away again and before you had time to react or scream her lips were on yours and that was your first kiss, in the rain. How cliche?

You two weren't a cliche though, a telekinetic lesbian and the popular girl who works at the diner with a weird best friend but only you two could make it work...
