Millie had been dumped on Valentines Day, the most romantic day of the year. She sat on the bench outside where your dad worked and cried. It was like that for an hour or so, she didn't leave, she just stayed and cried.
"She's been like that for an hour." Your dad said.
You nodded as you walked outside and sat beside her.
"Are you alright?" You questioned, your tone soft.
She nodded, a complete lie.
"I was dumped on Valentines. No big deal." She gave you a weary smile.
"Y/N." You said putting out your hand for her to shake.
"Millie."
That day you two grew close and she ended up spending Valentines day with you, it wasn't ideal but it became her favourite Valentines Day.
