Y/N Y/L/N didn't build up her reputation from being nice, in fact it was quite the opposite. She was bad news, and everyone in Hawkins knew, even Eddie Munson knew that it was best to stay away from her and he himself was the epitome of trouble.

That's why on one faithful day, when preparing for a meeting with Chrissy Cunningham who was planning on dealing to, he walked over to the forest. However, when he got there, expecting to find Chrissy Cunningham, there you were, sitting down on a bench in all of your mischievous glory.

"You are not Chrissy Cunningham." Eddie announced, stating the painfully obvious truth as he sat across from Y/N, placing his weed filled lunch box beside him.

"That, I am not." She confirmed, gazing up at Eddie who was squirming in his chair, finally deciding to get up instead of meeting her intense gaze. "She had plans with Jason today so she insisted I'd come and collected what she needed."

Eddie walked over and opened his lunch box, holding up a small bag of weed. "This what she needed?"

Y/N shook her head, "She needed something stronger, do you have any pills?"

Pills? Never in a million years would Eddie Munson have thought that perfect poised Chrissy Cunningham was a pill head.

"Pills?" Eddie questioned, his voice uneasy as he waited for confirmation. Y/N nodded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world before staring down at her cheer uniform and messing with the hem of her green skirt. "I don't have some on me at the moment, you free later?"

"Why, are you asking me to dinner, Munson?" Eddie froze up at her question, not sure on what to say, but when she began to laugh, he began to calm down. "Relax, I'm joking. What time?"

"Is nine good?"

"Yeah." Y/N stared up at Eddie's shirt, "You in a band, Munson?"

Eddie noticed Y/N's strong gaze and picked up on where she had gotten the idea from, "Yeah. But this is my D&D club shirt."

"So, is being a dealer more of a side job for you or is it being a cult leader?" Y/N joked, watching as Eddie sat back down across from her.

Eddie shrugged, responding with a comment which matched her tone, "Three guesses."

Instead of guessing, Y/N shook her head and moved the conversation along, "You still haven't told me about your band, Munson."

Eddie suddenly collapsed to the ground, clutching his heart as if her words had maimed him.

"Well, Y/N, we've actually met before." Eddie answered, completely ignoring what she was asking as he scrambled up from the ground, removing leaves from his shaggy hair, "Hawkins Middle School, does that ring a bell?"

Y/N shook her head, "I'm sorry- I can't quite-"

Eddie folded his arms, a grin spread across his face. He was clearly a lot more comfortable with her than when the conversation had first started, "You really don't remember me?"

"I'm sorry." Y/N laughed, she really wished that she had remembered now.

"Well, you probably don't recognise me, I mean my hair was buzzed and I didn't have these sweet old tats, but it was the middle school talent show. Chrissy and you were doing this cheer thing." Eddie raised up his arms and shook them in an oddly theatrical way.

"Corroded Coffin!" Y/N exclaimed rather loudly, "With a name like that, how could I forget?"

"Well, you are a good performer." She noted, referring to Eddie's little theatrical performance earlier, "Are you sure your as good as a performer musically?"

"And in the sack." He joked.

She raised and eyebrow, "Oh, yeah? We'll see." She said before giving him a look which left him wondering which performance she was referring to.

Eddie had begun packing up his weed, and was about to leave when Y/N called out to him, "Munson, wait!" She had gotten up from her seat on the bench and was now making her way towards him.

"Hmm? You need something Y/L/N?" He asked, unsure of what she needed. Eddie had to admit, he did like spending time with her but despite Y/N being troubled and Eddie ultimately being attracted to that, she was still friends with those stupid popular kids Eddie hated so much.

"Can I see your tattoos Munson?"

"What, you like an inked guy, Y/L/N?" He joked, watching as she rolled her eyes in response. He eventually obliged, showing her his tattoos. "I don't suppose you have a tattoo, princess preppy?"

"I do, actually." Y/N pulled down her cheer skirt slightly, enough to show Eddie Munson the snake tattoo on her hip bone.

Eddie couldn't help but stare at the tattoo, that was until Y/N pulled her skirt back up, covering the serpent tattoo completely, "You know, Munson. You're certainly not what I thought you'd be."

"What, all mean and scary?" He asked, his comment half playful- half assertive. She nodded at his comment, "You want to know something?"

Y/N nodded slowly at at the question, "Enlighten me, Munson."

"I thought you'd be mean and scary?"

"Me?"

"Yes, I thought you'd be absolutely terrifying."

The pair stood there for a moment, both grinning from ear to ear, that was until Y/N stared down at Eddie's wrist. She hastily grabbed hold of his arm, taking the boy by surprise as she stared down at the time, "Shit. I've got to go."
