You weren't really an active party member like Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will before he went missing but that didn't mean you weren't close with Eleven. She had the biggest crush on you and didn't hesitate to blurt all of her feelings out to Mike, who was accepting on the most part. You did like Eleven but your feelings weren't as open towards her. It wasn't like being with a guy, blushing and not being able to look him in the eye. Though you two had your moments there was more for you two, long heartfelt conversations and shared glances which lingered on for too long.
Eleven had done something wrong yesterday, she had violated your privacy and eavesdropped on your conversation. You excused yourself to talk to your friend and were discussing an important matter. Eleven was curious and listened in on the conversation, she questioned you about it when you came back and when you lied she accidentally spilled out that she knew you were lying. The worst thing was that she didn't even know why what she had done was so bad.
Mike had decided to take Eleven to school because it would make it easier for her to not get caught through out the daytime while he wasn't home. That's when she saw you talking to one of your guy friends and turned to Mike.
She pointed at herself and then you, "Apologise."
She was about to walk towards you to apologise again but Mike put his hand in front of her to stop her from going anywhere.
"Sorry El, she doesn't want to talk to you. I've tried." He said.
Eleven nodded understandingly, you just needed your space.
