Skylars POV

I try to open my eyes but fail. Once I finally open them, I immediately shut them again because of my splitting headache.  I open them again slowly, giving my eyes time to adjust to the light. I realize I'm in a hospital room once my vision comes back. Why am I here?

"Sky, you're awake." I hear from my side and I turn my head to see Ashton,Calum, Michael and Harry sitting on a small sofa next to me.

"I guess I am." I say with a chuckle.
"You wanna tell me why I'm here?" I ask quizzically. Nervous looks cover both of their faces.

"Y-you don't remember?"

"Well I remember going to the concert, seeing you guys, and spending the night with Michael."

"You don't remember anything else after that?"

"Nope. Now why am I here.?"

"You passed out because of a migraine. You got it two days ago and passed out. We brought you here and they sedated you because you haven't been sleeping well."

"Wait, where Are Cole and the kids?" They look at each other nervously.

"You don't remember. Cole and Weston had to go to Australia because Robert got sick. Cole said he's fine now and he is on his way here to see you right now." Harry explains.

"Where's Mel?" I ask starting to get nervous. If Cole is in Australia, and the boys are here, where is my daughter?

"She's safe. I have someone trustworthy watching her." Is all Ashton says. I nod my head but know for a fact that he is hiding something. But what? I lay back down and relax a little bit because I know Ashton wouldn't put Melody with someone he didn't ACTUALLY trust.
"Alright, I'm going to go make a phone call, I'll be right back." Ashton says walking out of the room.

Luke's PoV

"Hey Ash, How is She?" I answer my ringing phone.

"She's awake. She asked about Melody and I just told her she was safe. I don't want her to worry any more."

"So she doesn't remember what happened?"

"No. I asked the doctor and he said it could just be from the heavy sedation. Nothing to worry about though."

"Good. I feel horrible knowing that I did this."

"You didn't though."

"Yes I did. She was worried for the passed two weeks because she didn't want to see me, then what happens? I show up at the house she's staying at."

"But that's not YOUR fault. We both know Skylar worries about everything. She's safe and that's all that matters."

"Thank god." I mutter.

"Um, I also think you should come here." Ashton mumbles.

"Are you serious! What makes you think that's a good idea?"

"Well, she needs to see Mel, and it's time you guys talk. I know you love her so much and I know she feels horrible about what happened and she misses you just as much."

"Ash, I can't just come back into her life right now. She has a kid for Christ's sake! Our relationship ended four years ago. As much as I hate it, I have to face the fact that it's over. Especially when she's happy with someone else." Ashton sighs.

"But you can come into her life again! You never left! She was always thinking about you! Her and Harry are not and never have dated! And Melody, well I can't really tell you about that but trust me, she needs you just as much as you need her." This time I sigh.

"I'll be there in an hour. Let me wake up Mel." We say our goodbyes and I hang up the phone with another sigh. I walk into my bedroom where I let the little girl sleep in my bed. Let's just say, I have no clue how to watch a kid. She has stayed with me the passed two nights and I have been terrified I would break her or something. I look on my big bed to see the little girl curled up in a ball under the covers. I smile because she reminds me so much of Melody. I sit on the bed by her feet and rub her back until she wakes up.

"Luke?" She asks with her eyes still closed.

"Good morning Mel. You got to wake up so we can go see Mommy." She sits straight up at the mention of Skylar.

"I can see Mommy?" She asks with a big smile. I nod and she jumps into my arms. I laugh and carry her to the bathroom. We left Michaels house in such a rush that i ended up not having anything for Melody to wear. I've just been letting her wear one of my t-shirts. I pick her up and place her on the counter before brushing her teeth. I didn't even think that little kids needed their teeth brushed too until Melody scolded me for it yesterday morning. So we went to the store and she picked out a Mickey Mouse tooth brush. After her teeth were cleaned, she changed into one of my black t shirts. Her hair was crazy from sleeping. Luckily I too have long hair so I knew how to fix that. Once we were both ready, she grabbed my hand and we walked to the car. I made sure she was buckled in and we began driving to the hospital.
