"It was Calum's idea!" Harry yells to us as Luke and I walk with Calum and Michael to the other room. They sit on the bed and I close the door.
"Calum Thomas Hood, explain." I demand with my arms crossed.
"Well, we were just talking with Mel and she mentioned that she wanted a puppy sooooooo Yeah."
"We weren't going to buy one. We went just to look, but once we saw her, we HAD to buy her." Michael defends. I have to admit. The puppy is so damn cute.

I stay quiet so they know I'm mad.
"We can keep her here and Mel can visit." Calum proposes.
"I know you wanted a dog." Michael tries to persuade me.
"Yes, I wanted a dog but Luke and I both agreed that now isn't a good time. I mean I only moved here a month ago, Brady just got here a few hours ago, we don't know when you guys will be going on tour next and right now just isn't a good time for a dog." I explain.
"We're sorry Skylar, Lucy can stay with me." Calum apologizes.
"No, it's fine. I'll take her. I just wish you guys would have told me. Don't do this again got it?"they both nod and apologize one more time before the four of us went back to the living room. Brady and Mel were playing on the couch with Lucy but they both looked like they were about to pass out. "Alright kiddos, I think it's time we get going." I say interrupting them. They nod and brady says goodbye to everyone while Mel stays on the couch with her arms crossed.
"What's wrong?" I ask her.
"I tired." She whines.
"Come here." Luke laughs and scoops her up into his arms. She nuzzles her face into his neck and he places a kiss on her head. I pick up the small dog and hold Brady's hand as we walk a few houses down to our house. Luke unlocks the door and we step in.
"Alright Brady," I show him to his room which is one of the guest rooms. "We didn't decorate it yet because we wanted it to be just how you like it, so how about we go shopping tomorrow?"
"Okay. Thank you." He hugs me.
"Your welcome bud. Let's go say goodnight to Melody and Luke." We walk across the hall to Mel's room and watch as Luke places her on her bed.
"Goodnight Daddy." She hugs him and he says goodnight. I do the same and she gives Brady a hug too. We all tell her sweet dreams and walk to Brady's room. He sits on the bed and I pull up his covers so they cover his small body.
"Goodnight Skylar." He says as he hugs me and I reciprocate. Luke does the same.
"Sleep well bud." We each kiss his forehead and walk to our room where we immediately fall asleep in each other's arms.
**the next day- after shopping**
We spent all day shopping for Brady and putting his room together. It looks pretty dang good if you ask me. We also got him lots of clothes and some that he can hopefully grow into once we get his diet going. Brady was so great full for everything we got him. We also picked up some stuff for Lucy like food, a bed and toys. The idea of a dog is growing on me because it speaks super nice to have a little fur ball to cuddle with first thing in the morning. I think Luke agreed too considering he wouldn't let go of her. Luke and I are currently cooking dinner while the kids watch tv together.
"Excuse me." We both turn around and see Brady.
"Hey Brade, what's up." We sit down with him at the table.
"I just had a question. What am I to you guys?" We both look at him confused.
"What do you mean?" Luke asks.
"Like Mel is your kid, what about me?"
"You want to be our kid?" Luke asks trying to clarify what he means exactly. We get a shrug in response and looks at the table.
"Brady? Do you want us to adopt you?"I ask and he looks up.
"Would that make you my mom and dad?" He asks confused. I nod and look at Luke who nods with me.
"I like that." Brady smiles. I do too and I hug him. Luke does as well and I run to get Brady's file. I place it on the table and pull out a paper. It is something that his social worker gave my mom when he stayed with her. Adoption and custody forms. We already signed the custody forms but wanted to wait to sign the adoption ones to see what Brady wanted. Luke gets a pen and we both sign our names on the paper. Before writing Brady's name. I stop after his first name.
"Do you have a middle name?" Luke asks and he shakes his head. "Do you want one?" Brady makes a thinking face which makes us laugh.
"You pick." He decides.
"What were you going to do if Mel was a boy?" Luke asks me.
"I was going to make her middle name Ash." I reply and Luke nods before writing 'Ash' as his middle name.
"Now what about last name?" Luke asks me and I shrug again. I don't know? We didn't even change Mel's last name to Hemings yet. It's not like we're married. Not that I don't want to. I hold up a finger and run to our room to get another paper. I hand it to Luke's and he's eyes widen. "Are you serious?" He asks. I nod and he fills out the paper. "All done." He cheers and calls Melody into the room. She runs in and sits with Brady. "Guess What Mel." She shrugs and smiles. "Your last name is now the same as mine." Luke cheers and Melody gasps.
"I'm Melody Anne Hemmings!" She cheers. I smile and we finish writing the word 'Hemmings' on Brady's forms. We all cheer once we are done and I hug each kid, then Luke.
"You're next." He whispers in my ear before kissing my lips. I just realized something, I now live with three Hemmings.
