"Okay so where are we going?" Ashton asks as he pulls out of the airport parking lot. We have finally arrived in Australia and it Morning Of Christmas Eve. We decided that everyone will get dropped at their own houses to get ready for a holiday party we will all be attending in a few hours with our families. Luke's,so decided to come back to my house to help get the kids ready since we will see his family at the party. I have to admit I am really nervous to meet his family. I have met them before at one of the concerts all those years ago. I've also talked to them on FaceTime and over the phone recently, but they haven't met the kids. I am extremely great full and relieved that they understand everything with Me, and they accept Luke and I's decision to adopt Brady. It feels great to know we have such a strong support system. After Cal and mike were dropped off, we went home. Ashton knocked on the door a few times before walking in. Everyone was in the living room and we all greeted each other. It wasn't too weird considering we just saw each other two weeks ago. We sat for a little bit and talked about how things have been the last few weeks before deciding we better get ready. I went up to my old room with Luke, Brady and Mel. I quickly dressed Mel and did her hair while Luke did Brady. Once both were done, Luke and I got ready.

I applied minimal makeup before I heard a knock on the door. I yelled come in and the door opened to reveal Lauren. She was dressed in an off the shoulder green shirt and black jeans.
"Hey, can you do my makeup please?" She asks and I gladly accept. About two hours later, everyone in the house was ready and mom called us all downstairs. Every year since Ashton was born, she took a picture of all her kids sitting on the stair case on Christmas. I took my usual place next to Ashton and Harry and Joanne sat on the step below us. We all smiled as mom snapped the picture. She also took a picture of Luke and I. After our quick photo shoot, we all head to the car and began our drive to the party. We pulled up at a large banquet hall and all piled out of the car. I held Luke and Brady's hand while Mel sat on Luke's hip as we walked into the venue. We were greeted by soft music playing and many people walking around mingling.
"Hey guys!" We see Michael and he comes over to us with two people who I'm assuming are his parents. We talk for a little bit and find Calum with his family as well.
"Alright, you ready to find my parents?" Luke asks me and I stiffen. He chuckles and kisses my lips. "It will be fine." I nod and we walk around looking for his family. My heart skips a beat when I see them all sitting at one of the many tables. His mother looks up as we approach them and she gasps.
"Oh my Luke! You're here!" She stands form her seat and gives her son a hug. Luke's dad and two brothers do the same before his mother, Liz, turns to me. "You look beautiful Skylar!" She hugs me and I thank her.
"Nice to see you again sweetie." Luke's father, Andy hugs me as well. I also greet Ben and Jack, his brothers before it was time to introduce the kids.
"Where did they go?" I ask Luke. He chuckles and looks around.
"There they are." He points to a table and I look to see Calum and Michael entertaining them. They look up at us and wave before Mel jumps from Calum's lap and runs over to us.
"Daddy daddy!" She yells and jumps into Luke's arms. He laughs and places her on his hip as Brady approaches us.
"What's up princess?" Luke asks.
"Cal said that Santa comes tonight!" She cheers with a wide smile.
"And Mikey said that we get to eat Christmas cookies!" Brady adds in and I roll my eyes playfully.
"Of course Michael said that." I mumble. "Well, Santa does come tonight but only if you guys behave and be good tonight Okay?" They both nod quickly.
"And as for the cookies," Luke begins. "If Michale wants to get you guys all crazy on sugar then he can deal with it when you guys are up all night and sick." He jokes making us all laugh. That's when I remember and turn to Luke's family. Luke does the same and his eyes widen.
"Oh! Kids this is my mommy and daddy." He says placing Mel on the ground.
"Hi guys." Liz says bending down to their level.
"Hi." Brady whispers shyly and hugs Luke's leg.
"It's okay buddy." Luke rubs Brady's back.
"Hello, my name is Melody Anne Irwi- Wait! My name is Melody Anne HEMMINGS." She corrects herself making all of us laugh. She hugs both Andy and Liz and eventually Brady does the same. They then sit down and talk to Ben and Jack.
"I have to say," Liz starts, getting Luke and I's attention. "I was weary when you first told me about this situation of yours." She says pointing at Brady and Mel who are laughing at something Ben said. "But now I see that you guys are nothing less then a perfect and beautiful family. You guys re doing a great job." A smile forms over my lips and I thank her.
"Thank you mom." Luke says. "Come with me?" He whispers in my ear. I nod and stand up with him. He grabs my hand and leads me through the large crowd of people. We walk into the back of the venue and out the doors that lead to the garden in the back. I let out a gasp. It was so beautiful. There were lights lighting up the dark field and many differ t flowers were growing through the green grass.
"Luke, it's so pretty!" I state looking around. He stays silent and I turn to him, only to see that he is on one knee.
