"Kids, finish your breakfast then we need to get going Okay?" It's been a week and a half and we are leaving for Australia for Christmas tomorrow night. I needed to get Brady and Mel out of the house for a little bit so Mel is going to go spend time with Wes and Brady is going to get a haircut with Liam. Brady has been doing good adjusting. The first few nights were rough but he eventually got used to it. He started calling Luke and I mom and dad which is kinda weird because he's my half brother but I don't mind it one bit. Lucy had definitely won my heart. I love that little puppy so freaking much.

"Can we go now?" Mel asks as she puts on her shoes with Brady. I nod.

"Go straight to Wes's Liam is waiting there. Be careful." I explain. I let them walk b them selves to Wes's house because it is only two houses down and our entire friend group are neighbors. They both nod and hold hands as they walk out the door. They yell ' I love you' and close the door gently. I smile as I watch them walk down the porch. I decide to clean up their mess form breakfast while Luke is in the shower. He's been acting a little weird recently. He keeps going over to one of the boy's houses then coming back late. I'm not mad because I know he wouldn't do anything bad or lie to me, I'm just concerned. I hear him step out of the shower as I finish wiping down the table. I push in the two chairs before walking into our bedroom and finding Luke sitting on the bed scrolling through his phone. He smiles and puts his phone down when he sees me.

"Good morning beautiful." He says pulling me into a hug nod placing a kiss on my lips.
"Where are the young ones?"

"I had to get them out of the house so we could get things done before we leave tomorrow." This trip is a lot more stressful then previous ones. Not only do I have the whole band to travel with, but also two children and I had to make arrangements for the dog. Leah is coming over later today to catch up because I haven't seen her in ages. She also agreed to watch Lucy while we are gone which I'm extremely grateful for.
"Okay so how about, you pack your stuff and the presents. I'll go pack the kids' stuff."

"Sounds perfect." He smiles. I kiss him one ore time before going to Brady's room. I take out a small blue suitcase from his closet and begin packing clothes. Since it's summer in Australia (December to February is summer; March to May is autumn; June to August is winter; and September to November is spring) and we are only going for a week, it will be pretty warm. I pack a few pairs of shorts and a nice pair of blue jeans and a red button up for a formal dinner we are going to the first night we are there. I also pack t shirts, underwear and pajamas. I pack his nice black sneakers and zipper up the suitcase. Next, I pack his small back pack for a carry on. I put snacks and things to keep him entertained before doing the same with Melody's stuff. After about two hours of packing, the kids stuff is finally all done. I check on Luke who is done as well. I pack my already lasted out clothes in Luke and i's shared suitcase before high giving him for getting all that done quickly. We watched tv for a little bit before the door bell rang and Leah arrived. I opened the door and she hugged both me and Luke.

"Oh my god I haven't seen you guys in What, a month?" She asks.

"I know it's been so long."

"I know. I missed you all so much. I wish I could've hung out more but my stupid boyfriend, Well now ex boyfriend wa annoying."

"Oh no tell me everything." I say as we sit on the couch and Luke groans making us laugh.

"Come on, I don't want to here about your boy troubles." He whines.
"Here let me make this simple." He turns to Leah.
"I know how these conversations end. He is a dick, he doesn't deserve you, any guy to treat you bad is an idiot. Is that all?" He asks. I smirk at him with Leah.

"Well if I remember correctly, which I am, we dated and, I believe you are the idiot you are talking about." Leah says making me chuckle and Luke's eyes widen.
"I'm kidding Luke. But it's fine, I don't really want to talk about him, it's in the past. Tell me about what's been going on with you guys." With that, we talked for about two hours about Brady, and my mom and my doctors files, and everything. I could tell Leah was shocked. After catching up, we ordered food and talked about random stuff before the kids came home Leah said she had to go. She said she will get Lucy af

"Alright, I'll see you guys feet the holidays and we all need to hang out." I nod and we hug. She hugs Luke and I notice her whisper something in his ear. We say goodbye one more time and she leaves. Before I could question him, the kids pulled us to the couch to watch a movie which I had no problem with. We decided to watch the grinch. I sat into Luke's side on the couch. Mel was curled up on top of him and Brady was laying down with his head in my lap. Lucy was just snuggled in the middle of us. We sat silently until I noticed both kids were asleep and I looked at Luke who was already looking at me.

"What?" I ask with a smile. He shakes his head.

"Nothing. It's just. Look at us. We're a real family." He's right. If a random person saw all of us like this on the couch, they would have no idea everything we went through to get here. They would just know that we are a happy family.
