Luke's POV

"Alright kiddo, you ready?" I ask putting the car in park. We just arrived in the hospital.

"Let's go!" Melody yells. I laugh and get her out of the car. She holds my hand as we walk through the parking lot and into the hospital. We walked in and were directed to the waiting room. There were a bunch of chairs filled with people waiting to see their loved ones. We were about to take a seat but were interrupted.

"Mel!" We both snapped our heads to see a little boy calling Melody's name.

"Wes!" She yells, running to the boy. They hugged each other and a man about the same age as me walks over to them with a smile. He bends down to the kids height and Melody jumps into his arms excited to see him. I walk over and the mans smile turns into a nervous look when he sees me. Oh! He must know Skylar. He stands up holding Mel on his hip and I extend my hand out to his.

"I'm Luke." I say with a fake smile. I'm sure He already knows who I am. He shakes my hand.

"I'm Cole. This is Wes." He says pointing to the little boy. Oh! He's Melody's best friend. I bend down to the boys height.

"So you're the famous Des that Mel has been talking about." I say with a smile. It's true. She hasn't shut up about him.

"You're Luke. You're friends with Ash." I smile.

"Yes I am." I stand back up and look at Cole.

"Um, hey thanks for watching Melody. I'm sorry I couldn't be here." I shake my head.

"It's no problem. I had a lot of fun with her." Melody nods still in Coles arms.

"I had a lot of fun." Come laughs.

"That's good. Hey do you want to go see mommy now? Harry said she misses you." Melody's eyes light up.

"Yea! Let's see momma!" He laughs and puts her down. He grabs her and Wes's hands. Before they walk away, get turns to me.

" Um, are you going to come see her?"

"I don't know. She obviously doesn't want to see me so I don't want to scare her again."

" but she knows you're here."

"She doesn't remember anything from the day she passed out so she has no clue that I even know she's in America."

"Oh. Well, listen I know Sky and I know she really REALLY wants to see you. She's just nervous. How about you stay here and think about it. If you change your mind, she's in room B80." With that he begins walking away with the kids who each yell a goodbye and a see you later to me. I sighed and sat on a chair in the waiting room. Do I want to see her? Of course I do! But I really don't want to make her pass out again. I feel absolutely terrible for being the cause of this. Ashton's 100% right. I DO still love her. But I'm not too sure if she feels the same way. I mean, she has a kid! How can I compete with that? Ugh, this is all so much. I mean, I haven't seen her in person in four years! I wrote a freaking song about her! But I love her SO much. And this may be my last chance to tell her that.

Skylars PoV

I was talking to the boys when I heard a knock on the door. I yelled 'come in' and the door opened revealing Melody, Weston and Colton.

"Momma!" Mel yelled running to the bed. She hopped up and gave me a hug. Wes did the same thing before hopping back down and sitting with Ashton and Mel. Cuddled into my side.
"I missed you." She mumbled with her head in my neck. I wrapped my arms around her tiny figure.

"I missed you too sweetie." I say kissing her on the forehead. Cole gives me a hug and sits down with the boys. I turn my head so I'm looking at Mel. I realize that she's not in her clothes and she's in a big t-shirt. Probably Cole's.
"So what have you been up to?" I ask her. She smiles.

"I've had so much fun! I watched movies and played hide and seek and went swimming!" She rambles making everyone in the room laugh. However I could tell that all the boys had a hint of nervousness to their laughs.

"Okay, that's it guys. Tell me what's up." I say looking at them. They all widen their eyes and stiffen.

"What do you mean?" Ashton asks. I shoot him a 'really' look. I can always tell when he's lying.
"Fine, it's just, we didn't tell you something about the day you passed out." He says making me get nervous. What does he mean?

"Okay?" I ask unsurely.
"What happened?"

"Well, there was someone else there when the accident happened ." Michael explains.

"And?" What are they getting at?

"Um, I uh. It's just, you see. Uh."

"Spit it out Calum." I cut off the stuttering boy. He was about to say something when there was a VERY soft knock on the door.
"Come in." I yell. It's probably the doctor. Maybe their coming to tell me I can go home! The door opens SUPER slowly making me slightly confused. However my confusion disappeared and memories came flooding into my mind as I see who the person was who opened the door. I remember. We look at each toner both not knowing what to say. Everyone else in the room is just as uncomfortable. Well, except for my loud mouth daughter.

"Hi Luke!" She cheers. I watch a smirk cross Luke's face.

"Hey Mel." He replies then looks at me again. He sends me a nervous smile as if asking me to say something. What am I supposed to say! Wait! He was the one who watched Melody. Does he know? God dammit Skylar say something! You love this boy say something!

"Stop thinking." He says.
"Say something." I smirk remembering he said that to me when he first kissed me. He smirked realizing I was thinking about the good ole days.

"I don't know what to say." I say with a smirk.

"Then don't say anything." He says walking over to the bed and pulling me into a tight embrace. Suddenly all I could feel was Deja Vu and at this moment I knew, that we would be okay.
