Skylar's POV

I held Mel's hand tight as we crossed the Peking lot, walking into the diner where everyone else was already waiting. Luke opened the door and held it for Mel and I as we stepped in. We immediately saw everyone at a big table and Mel ran over and said hi to everyone before sitting next to Wes. Luke and I walked over and Said hi as well before taking a seat. I sat in between Luke and Harry and we all looked at the menus. Once we ordered our food, conversation began.

"So, do you guys want to go to the beach later?" Louis asks. We all agree to go in a few hours. We finish our foods and pay before leaving to get ready for the beach. We get home and I get Melody changed into an adorable light pink two piece with baby blue flowers on it. I also put on her white cover up and matching blue flip flops before letting her play with some toys while I get ready. I change into a strappy white bikini and put an oversized t-shirt over it. I pull my hair into a high pony and sigh when I notice the slowly fading lines across my forearms. I trace them with my fingers before putting on a few bracelets to try and conceal them. It helped a little bit and the lines aren't noticeable unless you are intentionally looking for them. I take a deep breathe before walking back into Mel's room where Luke, who is all ready to go, has now joined her. He looks at me and smiles.

"Ready?" He asks. I nod and he stands up with Mel and we walk to the car. I buckle Mel in her seat and we begin our drive.

"Mommy, I miss our old home." Me,out whines. I sigh and a frown covers my face. She hasn't really mentioned England since we moved here and I know she is too young to understand everything.

"I know sweetie. But you like it here right?" I ask turning to look at her. She nods her head.

"Yea. I like being with Daddy and Uncle Mikey and Uncle Ashton and Uncle Calum and Liam and-"

"I know sweetie. You love everyone." I laugh at her rambling and Luke laughs too. We talk for a little bit more until we pull into the beach and hop out of the car. I hold Mel and Luke's hands as we cross the parking lot to go where we see most of our friends waiting. So far Ashton, Calum, Michael, Harry, Cole, Wes and Louis are here. Liam and Niall are on their way together. We wait on the sand for a little bit before the two finally show up. We all get undressed so we are left in our bathing suits and everyone runs into the water except me and Louis. We decided to sit on the beach for a little bit. We were talking about random things when I felt my phone buzz. I took it out of my bag and checked the caller I'd before answering the call.

"Hey mom." I say cheerfully into the phone.

"Skylar, honey where are you?"

"I'm at the beach why? Is everything okay?" I ask starting to get nervous. Louis notices and sits up so he is looking at my face with confusion. I turn the call on speaker phone so he could hear.

"Skylar there is something I need to tell you."

"Tell me." I say getting impatiently anxious.

"Your parents, well biological parents, came to the house yesterday."My heart stopped at those words. I haven't seen or heard from my parents since I was 12. Why would they just show up now?

"What. Do. You. Mean."

"They want to see you Skylar. I understand his is crazy but, I think you should."

"What do you mean are you crazy!" I yell.

"Sweetie. I understand that what they did to you is unforgivable. But, it has been so many yea4s. You're an adult now and I think it will help to finally give you some closure." She explains but I can Tell there is something else she isn't telling me.

"Mom, what else?" I hear her sigh in the other end.

"You have a little brother, Skylar."My eyes widen and I'm left breathless.
"He's 11 years old. They brought him yesterday. He's so small Skylar. He shouldn't be living there but there is nothing I can do. You are his family Sky. You're all he has left." I place my hand over my mouth as tears from in my eyes. Louis eyes widen and he scoots over to me and wraps his arms around me and rubs my back as I cry.

"I'll see you soon." Is all I say before hanging up the phone and crying my eyes out into Louis chest. I don't know how  long I was crying but eventually everyone was out of the water and rushing over to me.

"What's wrong." Everyone asks and I peel myself away from Louis to look at all my confused friends. I try to talk but couldn't get any words out.

"Your mom called," Louis starts and Ashton's eyes go wide.
"Sky's biological parents went to your house and spoke to her. Sky has a little brother." Everyone gasps making me cry harder. Everyone bent down and comforted me as I sobbed my eyes out. Cole and Calum took the kids away so they didn't get worried. I never thought my life could get more difficult.
