"Mommy, can We go to Wes?" Mel begs. It has been a week since come and Harry moved down the street. Mel is doing okay with the adjustment. It was difficult for her to sleep the first few nights but now she is fine. She still sees Wes everyday and I'm glad she's doing okay with this change. However, what see doesn't know is that we have something special planned for her today.
"We can't see Wes today but, how would you feel if I took you out today?" Like asks picking her up and placing her on his lap.
"Really?"
"Yeah. How about we have a daddy- daughter date?"
"Yay!" Mel yells throwing her hands up.
"Okay. Let's get you ready and then you guys can go out." I say picking her up.
"But what are you going to do?" She asks me.
" I don't know, I think I'm going to go to Uncle Cal's house for a little bit."
"Tell him I said hi." She demands as I place her in the floor of her bedroom. I laugh and agree. I let her pick out her own outfit from her closet and she picked an adorable pink and blue flannel dress.

I brushed her hair and teeth and let her play for a little bit while I go see if Luke is ready. I walk to our bedroom and find him in our bathroom combing back his hair. He smile when he sees me.
"How do I look?" He asks putting his arms out and spinning around. I chuckle.
"Very handsome." I say before kissing his lips. "Are you ready?"
"Yep." We walk out of the bathroom and go to Mels room. Luke knocks and walks in catching Melody's attention.
"You ready princess?" He asks as she stands up and runs into his arms. He picks her up and holds her on his hips with her legs wrapped around his torso.
"Yea. Let's go." She laughs. I walk them to the front door and say goodbye. I watch as they get in Likes car and drive off on their date.
Luke's POV
"Where are we going Daddy?" I look in my rear view mirror and see Melody looking out the window kicking her feet.
"I was thinking we could go get ice cream." At the mention of ice cream her eyes snapped to me and a wide smile covered her face.
"I like that idea. A lot." She giggles making me smile. I continue to drive to the ice cream parlor and park in the small parking lot. I unbuckle Mel from her car seat and hold her hand as we walk in. We walk to the counter where a teenage boy is taking orders.
"What do you want Mel?" I ask bending down to her height.
"I wanna do it." I laugh and pick her up so she is sitting on the counter. She looks at the boy.
"Hi my name is Melody what's yours?" I chuckle at her outgoingness.
"My names Alex."he says with a smile.
"Hi Alex. Can I get chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles pretty please?" She asks politely.
"Of course you can. Anything else?" Before I could respond, Melody cut me off.
"He wants cookies and cream. It's his favorite." She whispers to Alex. I nod and he gets our ice cream. I pay and we sit at a small table outside and enjoy our ice cream. Mel is a pretty messy eater and got ice cream all over her face. I took a picture of us together and sent it to Rose. We finished our ice cream and decided to go see a movie. Mel chose to go see the new Lion king movie that just came out. Of course I agreed. And I ended up having an amazing day with my little girl.
Sorry for the short chapter guys. I'm working on a new 5SOS fanfic so I haven't been putting to much attention on this one but I promise the next chapter will be better and longer. 🖤
