Betty drove to the hospital whilst taking occasional sips of her tea. The tea felt warm on her stomach and was soothing. Once she pulled up she already saw Veronica's car and Jughead's bike. She wanted some alone time with Archie but it didn't matter. She headed inside. "Hey Betty!" Jughead said smiling. Archie has been doing a lot better he could talk normally. "Arch you're ok!" Betty squealed. "Can I hug you?" She asked. "Don't be daft." He smiled and opened his arms. Betty softly hugged him. "Ok girl he just recovered." Veronica sourly added. "No it's ok." Archie said but Betty pulled away. Betty glared at Veronica. "Ok well guys let's talk about um..Christmas!" Jughead said breaking the tension in the room. "Yeah any plans Betty? Heading to Pickens Park?" Veronica slyly said. She referenced the kiss Archie and Betty shared once upon a time. "One second." Betty said grabbing Veronica's arm.

"What the hell Veronica?!" Betty hissed closing the door. "I swear to god you should be grateful I'm keeping my mouth shut for you!" Betty said folding her arms. "Why would you say that?!"
"I checked the visitors list B. I know you visit Archie as frequently as you can, let me remind you I'm his girlfriend!" She said. "And I'm his childhood best friend do you expect me to bail on him?" Betty raised her voice a little. The two squabbled in the corridor and the guys..

"Jug can you hear Betty's voice?" Archie asked. "Yeah her and Veronica sound like they are arguing." Jughead said flicking through his novel. "About what?" Archie asked. "You focus on getting better. I know you don't wanna talk about it but how did the accident happen?" Jughead asked shutting his book. "I can't remember I banged my head pretty hard Jug." Archie said scratching the exact spot he banged it. "Yeah how stupid of me to ask." Jughead sighed. "What are those girls arguing about." Jughead said getting up. "All you do is think about yourself." Jughead quoted from the other side of the door. Betty said that to Veronica. "Just girl stuff I reckon." Jughead said flipping down on the chair. "Mm." Archie agreed. They both started talking about school and forgot about the girls outside.

"All you do is think about yourself!" Betty shouted a little too loudly. "Would I be here if I did?" Veronica asked cornering Betty into their feud. "V do you have a problem with me visiting Archie?" Betty tilted her ponytail. "No it's just how often you even missed school and your attendance is usually pristine!" Veronica said. "Ok well if your childhood best friend got into an accident you would take the time to take care of him/her!" Betty yelled. "Keep your voice down!" Veronica hissed and gestured at the door. "Listen if you are gonna start acting like a bitch I'll-.." They were both interrupted.
"Sorry to crash your cat fight but last time I checked me and Archie were friends so if you can move your asses outta my way I could get through the god damn door." Cheryl said with a big bouquet of flowers and a huge tin of chocolates. Veronica gingerly opened the door. "You know what V I'm not gonna do this. If you don't want me here I'm gonna go home!" Betty said. She went to go opened the door but Veronica blocked it. "I thought you are going home?" Veronica said. "Well princess I need to at least get my jacket or do you want me to freeze?!" Betty said impatiently. Veronica exhaled. Betty entered the room. "Oh cousin I have the best story to tell you!" Cheryl said. "Not now Cheryl." Betty said putting on her jacket. "No betty stay please?" Archie asked. I looked at Veronica and looked back. "I can't family emergency." I bluntly said. "Woah B is everything ok?" Jughead sprung up. "It's ok Dagwood just has a fever and Polly needs help." I lied. I couldn't stand to lie to the people I love anymore. "Oh ok well I cant deal with vomiting babies." Jughead said which made her lightly giggle. "Come by tomorrow?" Archie asked. Betty gingerly rubbed her neck but she had to do this for his own good. "Actually I have a blue and gold paper to write so I'm just going to be home all day." Betty lied again. "B I heated up your engine and defrosted all your windows." Veronica smiled. "Alright I'm going." Betty muttered. "Bye Arch?" Betty waved. She drove home sobbing.

Hospital:
Jughead left to go to a Serpent meeting so it was just Veronica and Archie. "I wanna get you outta here!" Veronica said leaning on Archie's muscular torso. He winced. "Babe does it hurt?" Veronica asked with concern. He shook his head. "Why is Betty acting weird?" Archie blurted out. "Hmm?" Veronica murmured though she could hear him perfectly clear. As Archie repeated his sentence, Veronica came up with an answer. "Um she told me Juniper was under the weather lately." She answered.
"I thought it was Dagwood who was sick?" Archie said.
"Oh I always get them mixed up because Polly puts them in yellow onesies now so you can never tell who's who." Veronica gabbled.
"Oh ok well I get released after tomorrow after these last few bruises heal." Archie said stretching. "Wow I'm finally getting my archiekins back!" Veronica smiled. He planted a small kiss on her lips but it's Veronica so she deepened the kiss even more. Archie belonged to her. She thought and it drove her making her kisses even more passionate. "Slow down." Archie panted. "Oh my god I'm sorry you're just recovering what was I thinking." Veronica said rubbing her temples. "It's ok Ronnie I just want to sleep for a bit." Archie smiled weakly. He was happy again. For now.

Betty's house.
Betty headed into her house. Polly was there in her robe and her warm woolly nightwear with a new cup of tea. "Sister instinct tells me you've had a bad day." Polly said reading her like an open book. "Yeah." Betty sighed and flopped on her couch leaning on her lap. "Wanna talk about it?" Polly said offering her half full mug of tea. Betty drank it. "No." Betty sharply said as she swallowed. "Ok well what do you wanna do?" Polly offered. She looked down. Betty had fallen asleep. She shouldn't wake her since Betty had hardly found time to sleep anymore. She covered her in blankets and kissed her goodnight.
