Betty's house
"We need to talk." Jughead said letting himself in. "Yeah." Betty replied rubbing her temples getting herself ready to apologise. "I'm sorry." They both said at the same time. "Wait what?" Betty asked thinking she was hearing things. "I shouldn't have been mad at you Betty. You didn't crash the car I was just mad you kept it from me and especially Archie." Jughead explained. "And I'm sorry I just wanted Veronica to find a way to tell him." Betty sighed with relief. Her and Jug were ok.Thats all that mattered. "It's ok Betty Listen I gotta go I just needed to stop by I was on the way to the Whyte Wrym." Jughead said kissing Betty. "Already?" Betty moaned. "I'm sorry babe tomorrow." He pouted back. They both giggled and Jughead left. "I need to make it up to Archie.." she muttered and headed upstairs.
Archie's house
Archie listened to each one of Veronica's messages. She sounded desperate and sorry but it still didn't make what she did ok. Archie sat on his and brought out his guitar. He sang some of his lyrics but he didn't know who they were meant for anymore. It felt very plain without a subject. Normally all his songs would be about Veronica but now he's just too angry to write another about her. He went for a run instead trying to let his problems blow away with the harsh wind. He hoped it would clear his head.
Veronica's house
Veronica checked her phone anxiously and it showed that Archie had read and heard all her voice and text messages. She felt hurt but nowhere near what he would've felt in the crash. Another wave of guilt washed over her. She shuddered again feeling like a monster almost. She had to get her man back. She dressed in his favourite clothing and gave herself her makeover. She prayed this was enough.
Betty's house.
"Polly I'm coming back in about 45 minutes." Betty shouted from on top of the staircase. "Where are you going?" She asked. "Archie's!" Betty replied. "Why I thought you said-." Betty cut her off. "I'm going to make it up to him." Betty said firmly. "Ok I guess fill me in on what happens." Polly said. "Mm hmm." Betty replied and she headed up to her room. She climbed out of her window and up the drainpipe to Archie's. She was wearing one of his sweaters he gave to her when they were 14 it still fit like a glove with shorts underneath. Her teeth chattered since it was freezing but she had to. Her feet slipped since it was slippery. "God damn it!" She yelled. She was determined so she tried again and this time she made it. His window was open of course so she climbed inside almost falling on her face. He wasn't home. I guess she had to wait until he got home. She heard him come upstairs. He went into the room. "What the hell Betty." He said seeing her sitting on his bed. "I had to make it up to you." She said voice thickening. He stared at her but it feels like he was staring right through her. "I'm not mad at you." He finally said sitting next to her on the bed. "What?" This day kept surprising her even more she thought. "You were doing what your other best friend asked you to do so it's not your fault." He said smiling. "But I should've told you I should've-."
"No Betty Veronica only told you two days before me and you were in a difficult position don't beat yourself up Betty." Archie said and he took Betty's hand and entwined it with his. They both sat very still but their hands were still linked.
Veronica
Veronica bought Archie fresh magnolia cupcakes from New York and his favourite chocolates she let herself in excited to make up but since he left the door slightly ajar she looked through it and saw him and Betty holding hands. "Oh my god." She mouthed. She pushed open the door. "What in the name of god..?" Veronica began. "V it's not what it looks like." Betty gabbled. "And what if it is? Who is she to tell me anything anymore." Archie snapped at Veronica. "What the hell what do you mean I'm your girlfriend?" Veronica said her voice cracking since she knew what that meant. "Ex girlfriend." Archie corrected her. "Arch-." Betty said. "No it's not your fault I would've broken up with her anyway." He said. "Don't be too hasty Archie try make things work." Betty replied. "Yeah I want to be with you and I love you." Veronica said showing him the custom made cupcakes she got for him. "Can I have some space." He said looking at Veronica. Betty was prepared to leave. "No, stay." He pleaded. "Fine." Veronica replied. "Archie I'm going after her." Betty interrupted. "Why?" He asked as if Betty is crazy. "Because I feel awful Archie and I cant just leave her." Betty said raising her voice a little. "And why not Betty? Archie asked. "Because..just stay here and don't go anywhere!" She yelled. Veronica was still in the house. "Hey!" Betty said running after her. "Hello." She said raising her eyebrows as if nothing happened. "Are you just going to give up on him?" Betty snapped irritated she's acting as if nothing happened. "I don't know yet B." She said rolling her eyes at me. She grabbed her arm and yanked her up the stairs. "What the-?" Veronica said as Betty pushed her in Archie's room. "I thought I told you to go." Archie said trying to keep his cool. "Betty pushed me in here." Veronica explained looking at Betty. "Elizabeth come here!" Archie yelled. "No!" Betty said slamming the door and locking it. "You aren't leaving here until you two sort out your issues!" Betty continued. "So where do we begin.." Archie said.
"Archiekins I'm sorry ok." Veronica began.
"I know, but do you really think a sorry is going to fix what you did to me?"
"No Archie but I've paid for your bill to say sorry."
"I don't want your money!"
"Archie I love you and I want to make it up to you."
"Well at this point it's too early I mean I can't process the fact that my girlfriend nearly killed me."
"I know but can we at least be friends for the moment? I hate when your mad."
"Well I have no choice Betty is going to keep us here forever." Archie said but Veronica noticed he smiled a little when he said Betty. "Why are you smiling to yourself like that?" Veronica asked tilting her head. "Because I should've saw this coming." Archie replied. They both have a little giggle. "I'm going to put this behind me Ronnie." Archie said. Veronica exhaled when she heard him call her Ronnie again. "Thank you!" She said sighing with relief. She pressed her lips against his and just like that they were back to normal. "Guys have you.." Betty said coming in. Archie gave her a thumbs up. She smiled and left the room. Everything was back together again.
