Veronica POV
"Your going to..?" I asked. This couldn't be good. "If I abort it I'm taking a life." Betty's voice thickened. Archie moves closer to her and put his arm around her. "Well we support you Betty." He smiled at her. "No we don't I can't be a father!" Jughead snapped. "Jughead! It's my choice. If you don't want to raise it you don't have to!" Betty defended herself. "Fine I won't raise it." Jughead decided. "Well a baby needs a mom and a dad." I cleared my throat. "I haven't finished.." Betty continued. We all looked at her. "I did some research online, I'm going to give the baby to a couple I met who are infertile." She said rubbing her stomach. "Betty that's amazing!" I congratulated her. "Yeah their names are Aria and Ezra (pretty little liars🤪)." She said. Jughead smiled. "Truth is I'm also not ready to be a parent yet." Betty sighed. "You will make a great mom one day." Archie rubbed her back. "Yeah and you will make a great dad." I winked. "Don't push it Veronica." Archie laughed. "Guys are we the core four again?" I asked. "Well what you guys did is awful but I kinda miss your sarcasm Jug and I miss your fashion sense V." Betty admitted. "Yeah same, well not your fashion sense Veronica." Archie chuckled. We all laughed and it felt like we were the core four again.Jughead POV
After ages of talking and catching up with Betty and Archie it felt amazing to be a senior. "Guys we can't let Betty miss her own baby shower." Veronica gasped. Betty walked back in with Veronica which just left me and Archie. "You and Veronica seem happy." He finally broke the silence. "We are." I truthfully answered. "Who would've thought Jughead Jones and Veronica Lodge would end up together." Archie laughed. "Yup." It was true. Me and Veronica weren't very fond of each other but we ended up to work that out and now we are happy. "Met anyone special yet?" I asked Archie. "No." He replied. "Archie Andrews stays single for more than two months! That's gotta be a record." I gasped but we both laughed after that. "Aren't you and Betty together yet?" I asked him to deliberately annoy him. "No Jughead Jones no we are not." He answered. "Well let's go to B and V." I said getting up. "Me and Betty aren't really allowed to see each other anymore."Archie stammered. "Why?!" I was shocked. "Oh because of the pregnancy Alice was angry that me and her kept it a secret." He explained. "That's crazy man." I shook my head. "Did you guys see each other apart from today?" I asked him. "Yeah obviously I climb through her window everyday to meet her in the bedroom." We both paused that sounded wrong. "No not like that." Archie laughed. "Let's go." I smiled.Archie POV
"Jug you go I just need to get a bottle of water from the fridge." I said going into the kitchen. "Archibald Andrews." I heard Alice's voice. I turned around. "Mrs Cooper." I nodded. "How's life without my daughter." She asked me. "Um empty." I lied. "Archibald I know Betty can be persuasive but that doesn't give you an excuse to keep that type of secret from her own mother do you hear me?"
"I hear you.."
"Well in that case I'll be lifting the ban." She announced. "Really?" I exclaimed. "Really." She nodded at me. "Thank you so much!" I beamed although it didn't make much of a difference. I ran out into the main room. "Arch did you hear?!" Betty exclaimed. "Yeah your mom lifted the ban so we don't have to sneak around anymore!" I hugged her tightly. After a couple more hours of the baby shower we all headed home. "Betty now that I trust you I'm going with my book club to go for a coffee so take the key and you can remove the newspaper from the window." Alice handed Betty the keys.Betty POV
As mom handed me the keys me and Archie walked home talking and laughing about things that happened in the 4th grade. "This is us!" I beamed opening the door. "Ladies first." Archie bowed. "Oh thank you Archibald." I giggled and walked in. "These shoes are killing me." I sighed and ripped them off. "Wow they must be cutting off your blood circulation." Archie joked. I rolled my eyes at him and we both headed up to my room. "Let's get rid of this!" I excitedly ripped the first one. We got a bit too carried away but it was still fun. It ended up with us throwing bits all over each other. "I got bits all over my hair!" I moaned. "Me too but you don't see me complaining." Archie said. "Whatever!" I said. "Turn around." I instructed. "Why?" He raised his eyebrow at me. "Because I want to get changed out of this and get into my pjs?" I made him turn around. "If you look I swear to god I'll kill you." I laughed unzipping the dress. "Well hurry up." He exclaimed. I got into a t-shirt and couldn't be bothered to find shorts. "Nice panties." Archie winked. "Shut up!" I exclaimed. "I know this is weird but you're a good kisser." He blurted out. "You're right it is weird..but you are too." I answered. I went to wipe off all the makeup I put on. "How does it feel to be pregnant?" Archie asked. "It feels weird knowing that there's a human inside you." I squirmed at the thought of it. "When's your meeting with that couple?" He asked. "Um tomorrow?" I said checking my calendar. "Can I come?" He asked. "Why?" I turned around. "I don't know it just intrigues me."
"But Archie your not the father?"
"I know but I am your best friend, or so I hope."
"Fine.." I sighed. My phone pinged. "Mom is going to stay the night with her book club at some hotel in Greendale." I read out. "Do you wanna stay the night?" I continued. "Why not?" He smiled taking off his shirt. "Sleep in Polly's bed I'm sleeping here." I said. "You going to bed so soon Elizabeth?" He mocked. "My baby is tired." I gabbled. "Hm I'm sure." He sarcastically replied. "Don't draw on my face!" I warned. "Goodnight B." Archie sighed and came closer to my bed. "Woah, woah, woah what the hell are you doing?" I stammered. "I left my shirt behind you?" Archie leaned in to reach his shirt. I flushed a violent shade of red. He scoffed and shook his head. That was embarrassing.
