Jughead POV
I was at home eating my cereal when I get an 'SOS' text from Archie. What could he want. I called Veronica. "Hey donnie." She said smiling . It was clear she didn't receive the SOS. "Did you get an SOS from Archie?" I asked her putting on my jacket. "Yep I'm walking there now." She said. "Don't wait up I'm on my way." I said running out and hopping on my motorcycle. Although me and Archie aren't in paradise right now he still needs me. When I pulled up I saw Veronica. We both ran inside his house to see Betty sitting on the bed in only just his hoodie looking stunned. "Come to gloat you're in a relationship now too?" Veronica asked. "First of all of course we aren't we keep telling you we are best-." Veronica cut him off. "Best friends whatever is this meeting about?" She asked sitting on a chair. I looked at Betty. She was pale and had dark circles under her eyes. Archie sat next to her and rubbed her back. "Should I tell them?" I heard him whisper close to her ear. Veronica scoffed. Betty couldn't even manage to talk she just gave a slight nod. "Archie man what's going on?" I asked. "Betty..she's..pregnant with your baby Jughead." Archie stammered. My jaw dropped to the ground. "And how do you know." Veronica asked breaking the silence. "Because I was with her." Archie said mocking her. "That c-can't be true Betty was on her period two weeks ago." I managed to say. "No Jughead she had cramps and that was something growing in her uterus." Archie uncomfortably said. "So she's pregnant get an abortion." Veronica said. "If you can't be serious about this get the hell out!" Archie yelled. "Calm down man she's joking." I defended her. "Betty.." I continued. I went to sit next to her. "No don't touch me. Just because I'm having your baby doesn't mean we're back together." She said edging away from me. "Mood swings already." Veronica tittered. Archie shot her a death stare. "Ugh B I'm sorry for not taking it seriously but you and Jughead should've used protection." She wisely said. "Ok time to go." Archie said pointing to the door. Veronica strutted out and I followed her.
Archie POV
"B I'm sorry they never took it seriously." I said sitting next to her again on the bed. "It's ok Arch." She smiled. She didn't say anything she just smiled but I knew her long enough to know what that smile meant. "I'm gonna let you get some rest." I said. She nodded. It killed me to see her like this. No one wishes this upon their best friend. I wrapped her around in a blanket and kissed her forehead again. She fell asleep soundly. I stared at her stomach and shuddered but I quickly shut the door. I headed downstairs. "What the hell are you two still doing here." I hissed. "Man I know we aren't in the best of places right now but you gotta convince her to abort the baby!" Jughead hissed back. "Yeah imagine how awkward that would be." Veronica joined in. "Listen it's not my decision." I calmly said. "Just please I'm 17 I can't be a father!" Jughead panted. "Oh so you are taking it seriously." I said smiling. "This isn't funny!" Veronica shrieked. "Shut up!" I hissed. Thank god Betty was still sound asleep. "I'm not going to push thoughts into my best friends head she just needs rest and since you two did a lousy job of being there for her someone needs to step up to the plate." I explained. "Polly?" Veronica asked sarcastically. "No, me!" I said. "Listen I want to be there for her but I just can't right now my head is with her but my heart is with Veronica and the serpents." Jughead explained. I sighed. I knew that feeling. "Just get out of my sight and my house." I said. "That doesn't make sense." Veronica tittered but left.
Veronica POV
"Wow he's moody." I said. "Well his best friend is pregnant and his exes aren't taking it seriously." Jughead pointed out. "Um you dated Archie?" I tittered. "No ew no I'm his ex best friend.". We both laughed. "Seriously though did you see the way they looked at each other." I said. Jughead nodded. "Giving us the same best friend bull." Jughead kissed his teeth. "Sassy Juggy I like it." I said kissing Jughead. He gave me much more than Archie. He always seemed so tense like something..or someone was on his mind. Betty of course. We made out in an alleyway until we were interrupted. "Jughead Jones and Veronica?" Cheryl strutted in. "Does Betty and Archie know about this?" She continued. We both nodded. "Yes now my OTP can finally happen!" Cheryl ran out. We both rolled our eyes. "Even Cheryl knew Betty and Archie were made for each other." I said. "Let's forget them we have each other." I said jumping on Jughead.
Betty POV
Even though Archie wrapped me in a thousand blankets, I was shivering and shaking. "B I got you some tea." Archie said coming into the room. "Cinnamon." He said smiling. My stomach turned over but in a good way. My hands were shaky still remembering that there's a human inside of me. "Hey it's ok!" Archie said running beside me because he saw my hands unable to drink tea. Archie sat next to me on the bed. I leaned on his muscular arm. "Arch how did I get myself into this mess?" I asked him as if he knew the answer. "Listen I know it's too early but what are you gonna do with it." Archie softly asked me. I shrugged. "I'm single, I'm a senior and I can't even look after myself so the answer is pretty clear." I said. "Betty are you sure?" He asked me taking my hand. I wrapped my other hand around his "Positive." She said smiling. "Ok I'll take you to the doctor on Monday." Archie said putting the tea on his nightstand. I felt as if my head was in a battle. Not only am I pregnant how am I going to tell my mother. "Thank you Archie." I mumbled. "Don't thank me." He said. We both stared into each other's eyes as if something was going to happen but we were interrupted by..
Archie POV
My room door burst open. "Mom?" Betty said. " I came back from New York only to find out my daughter is pregnant!" She shrieked. "W-What how did you..?" Betty stammered. "Um the doctor recommended pain killers for your 'cramps' and said you had an ultrasound in 6 weeks!" Alice yelled grabbing Betty by the arm. "Hey, careful!" I shot up. "And you, how can you not tell me Archibald?!" Alice let go of Betty's arm. "Don't blame him I made him keep his mouth shut!" Betty yelled. "Some friend you are!" Alice said picking up Betty's stuff. "Hey don't you dare!" Betty yelled. "I don't trust you around my daughter anymore, consider yourself cut off!" My heart wrenched when she said 'cut off'. "Mom you can't!" Betty whispered eyes filled with tears. "Unfortunately he's our neighbour and in your school I will be taking you to and from school and working in the blue and gold to keep an eye on the pair of you say your goodbyes Betty I'm downstairs packing the rest of your things." Alice snarled and she left the room. "Hey listen to me this isn't goodbye I'm still going to be there for you." I reassured Betty as I watched her cry. "I know Arch." She replied and wiped her tears. We both smiled and Betty had to leave. Once she left I sighed and sat on the edge of my bed gingerly. Was this goodbye?
