Jughead POV
Finally Betty and Archie are a thing about time! "Since we are going back in time afterparty at thistle house." Cheryl shouted. "I'll pass I'm exhausted!" Betty yawned. "Boring!" Cheryl mimicked Betty yawning. "Babe let's go to a nightclub to finish our night." Toni winked. "Now your talking Cheryl bombshell." She laughed and they both strutted out. Since the queen bees of the school left the whole grade followed when it was just the core four again. "Well you two finally got together." I smiled. "About time." Veronica squealed pulling them both in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around them as well. "So we are the core four just switched partners." I pointed out. "Yeah." Archie laughed. "Milkshakes on me?" Veronica asked. We all laughed. "Why not." Betty smiled. We all sat at our usual booths cracking up at corny jokes and humming to the pops playlist. "Nice to see you all together." Pop smiled. "Great news Pop! Betty and Archie are finally a thing!" Veronica announced.

Archie POV
I flushed when Veronica announced that but I smiled. I couldn't hear it enough times. Betty and Archie. "That's amazing! I always knew you two would end up together!" Pop exclaimed. "From the moment Archie-." He continued. I knew exactly what he was going to say. "Ok Pop let's not get into that." I cringed. "Get into what." Betty smiled. "The milkshake story." Pop giggled. "Oh!" Jughead cracked up. "I'm lost!" Veronica and Betty said in unison. "Well Archie when he was in like the 6th grade would order milkshakes for him and Betty. He would order vanilla and he would purposely order root beer floats for Betty because he knows she doesn't like them and then Betty would ask for another one and he would say he has no money left so he and Betty could share a milkshake just like the movies." Pop explained wiping his brow because he found it so funny. "Is that why I got root beer floats for three straight weeks?" Betty laughed. "That is so cute." Veronica giggled. "I suppose it is kind of funny." I smiled looking at Betty. "Milkshakes are on the house guys." Pop smiled. "Moments like these should be cherished." He continued. "Ok Pop let's not get sappy now." Jughead smiled. "Friends forever?" Veronica mimicked. We all cracked up laughing. "Guys it's getting pretty late." I yawned looking at my phone. "Jug you're my ride." Veronica slipped out of the booth. "Ok race you to the bike!" Jughead childishly exclaimed. "You're on!" She laughed. Yet again it was me and Betty left. We sat in the booth awkwardly. This was the first time we sat in that booth as more than friends. "Home?" Betty asked. I nodded. We both walked home the crisp air swirling around us. Since it was spring there was some humidity. We both paused on Betty's doorstep. "Do you want to come in?" She awkwardly asked. "Sure." I smiled.

Betty POV
I looked at the table. Nobody was home. "So what do you want to do?" I cleared my throat. "I don't mind." Archie said smiling. "A free house and two angsty teenagers we all know what that means." Polly said appearing from nowhere. "Polly you scared the crap out of me." I gasped. "You really think I wouldn't know about you two. I asked Veronica to livestream the whole thing." She smiled. "Polly!" I blushed. "You're my baby sister!" Polly rubbed my back. "Do you want me to leave." Archie cleared his throat. "No! I mean no. It's fine Polly's joking." I smiled. "Don't worry I'm leaving Polly said opening the front door. "Where are you going?" I asked her narrowing my eyes. "Meeting someone." She flushed. "Who?" Archie asked. "Someone special." She replied giving no clues. "What about the twins?" I asked her. "They're at my friends house!" She strapped on her heels. "Ok I'm off!" She practically ran out the door. Me and Archie burst out laughing. After releasing our last laughs it was silence again. "I'm gonna go get changed and we are binge watching Netflix." I said. Archie nodded. Oh boy. This is way more awkward then I thought.

Veronica POV
"What do you think Betty and Archie are doing by now?" I asked Jughead. We both lay on the couch. "Colliding." Jughead laughed. "Ew Jughead!" I laughed but cringed at the same time. "Well it's about time. I can't believe we went from the car crash, to Betty's illness, to her being pregnant, to her giving birth, to this." She gestured. "I know it's been a crazy year." Jughead sighed. "Wanna be my prom date?" I asked him out of nowhere. "Do I have a choice?" Jughead scoffed. "Remember New York?" I sighed longing to go back. "How can I forget?" He replied longingly. "Well wanna go after prom?" I casually asked him. "For real?" Jughead shot up grabbing onto my hands. "Yeah." I squeezed his hands. We both danced around in our underwear. Man I love him so much!

Archie POV
I sat on the edge of Betty's couch scrolling through Netflix as if I hadn't been here before. Well I haven't been here before as her boyfriend. Betty walked down her steps sitting next to me. I put my arm around her awkwardly whilst the movie started. I felt her hair ticking my forearm. I stole little looks at her. Her emerald eyes, her pearly lips. How did I miss this. "Betty..." I asked. "Mm?" She looked up at me. "Why are we being so awkward?" I asked her as if she knew. "I don't know I was about to ask you as well." She uncomfortably said. "Maybe it's because we are best friends and it's kind of..weird." I shrugged. I felt Betty move closer to me. "Well.." I cleared my throat and stared at her. "Is this weird?" She asked me. I thought she was talking about her moving closer to me but before I answered she climbed onto my lap and pressed her lips onto mine. I pulled away. "Why'd you stop?" She asked worriedly. "What if your mom comes home?" I asked. "She's not coming for like two days." Betty smiled. I sighed with relief and kissed her again. Her soft vanilla scent drove me insane. I felt her slowly unbuttoning my shirt. If that was Veronica my shirt would've been torn off by now. I loved how her soft fingers traced my arms. She threw off her shirt. "Maybe we should go upstairs in case Polly comes home." She whispered. I carried her upstairs smiling as we ascended up the stairs. "I love you Archie." She whispered grazing my ear with her lips. "I love you too." This was different with me and Betty. I've felt so different with her. I've loved her ever since the second grade. I didn't hesitate like I did with Veronica because now all the jealousy I was filled with when she was with Jughead, all the butterflies I was filled with when we were together was all love. I had time to explore it which is why me and Veronica broke up. There was no time and love between us. Just lust.

Betty POV
I just said I loved you to the right person. It felt like such a weight off my shoulders. I truly did love Archie ever since I could remember. He was my first everything. My first love, my first kiss hell even my best friend. Despite knowing Jughead since I was 9 there was a person before him. 5 years before him. There through the last three years of my crazy life Archie was waiting for me at the end of the dark tunnel. I hated that it took me three years to realise that. I never thought I could call Archie Andrews my boyfriend. It was Betty and Archie no matter what.
