A/N: I wasn't exactly sure how to start this, so the beginning is a little rocky. Be warned.
After your third day of being at Stark Tower, you were told just how extensive the damage to the city really was. Most of Manhattan was destroyed, along with Brooklyn. The coffee shop you worked at was damaged, but not beyond repair. The same couldn't be said for your apartment. One of the Chitauri flying worms-Natasha said there was a technical name for them, but Clint just said to call them worms- crashed through your building and it collapsed less than a minute later. The news devastated you, but Tony Stark offered you a guest room at the Tower.
So there you were, walking down the hallway, next to the Tony Stark, heading to your room, at the Stark Tower, ignoring a weird feeling in your stomach. If Bea was here, she would flip.
"The kitchen is down that hallway to your left," he explained. "Dining room is next to the kitchen, and living room to the right of it."
"Steve, Clint, Bruce, and Natasha all have a room on this floor too, although its big enough so you won't run into them if you don't want to. Thor has a room here too, but he's not on Earth very often," he rambled on. "My lab is the next floor up and my room the one after that. Both are off limits unless if you're looking to have a little fun," he winked, causing you to blush.
"The gym is below us and then after that is a floor full of not completely pointless but not completely necessary rooms. If you have some free time I'd suggest exploring." You nodded, looking around at the fascinating design of it all.
"The floors after that are all for Stark Industries and I would say not to go down there because you'll get confused by all the science, but I see that you were a biomedical engineer so you should be able to keep up." You stopped, shocked by what he said. He continued walking, as if he didn't notice that you weren't by his side, but you knew he did.
"How did you know I had a degree in biomed?" you asked, crossing your arms.
"I read your file," he turned around, gesturing to the building. "You think I would let a complete and utter stranger stay here without doing my research?" He walked up to you, not stopping until he was close enough to where you could feel his breath on your face.
"Good point," you shrugged, trying to ignore the butterflies you were getting in your stomach. Staring into his eyes, you noticed they were the color of roasted hazelnuts on a cool winter morning, sitting in front of the fire, drinking your coffee. You couldn't help but feel that they were drawing you in.
You shook your head, pushing those thoughts and feelings away, blaming the fact that you were in your hero's presence as the cause.
He turned back around, stopping a few meters down the hall in front of the door. You following after him, looking at the doors as if expecting it to say something.
"Well this is your stop," he spoke up, opening the door so you could see inside. You stepped inside, immediately noticing the natural light that flooded in through the floor to ceiling windows. Next you noticed the bed and how fluffy the pillows looked. Then the book shelf, filled to the brim with books of all shapes and sizes.
"This is amazing," you whispered, forgetting Tony was there.
Pulling you out of your trance, he spoke. "You can redecorate if you want, just let me or Clint or somebody know. Just try not to go over ten thousand, 'kay?" Your eyes bulged out of their sockets, causing him to laugh.
"Ten thousand dollars?" you asked, still shocked by the number.
"Ten thousand dollars," he repeated, laughing once more. He walked towards the door, stopping in the frame. He turned back around and met your eyes.
"And there's always a job waiting for you at Stark Industries, if you want it. If not, I can make my lab accessible to you sometimes," he smiled before closing the door behind him.
You stared at the door, star struck for a few moments, before jumping back onto your massive bed and taking a much needed nap.

this chapter may suck, idk im tired.Thank you for over 35k reads! That's absolutely insane! I hope you guys are enjoying my book! Know that I see every comment, vote, and mention, even if you don't think I do. I love seeing you guys interact with each other and start conversations in the comment sections. Like there's this one conversation about Dean Winchester on "The Roommate" and I think they're talking about Supernatural but I have absolutely no idea cause everything they're saying sounds so confusing to me but Supernatural fans probably know what they're talking about lol. And then there's this other conversation about dogs on "The Battle of New York" and I think it's really cool that you guys are meeting new people because of my story lol. And I love hearing what yall think is going to happen! I havent necessarily figured out how this story is going to go (I know the main gist of it) but I love hearing what you guys think and adding it to my story in the smaller details. And I love critiscm as well! Someone said how something didn't seem believable, and I completely agree with them! so yalls comments are seen and taken into consideration!
also, another thing that I would like to point out about this book: I make references. And a lot of them. So far, there's one direction, flash, arrow, and other marvel references. If you spot a reference, point it out! And if I made one that I didn't even realize (ie the flash reference), then point it out to me! I think it's cool that I make references without knowing.
Thank you all for the love and support!
all the love xx
*if you saw my last a/n, I was kinda being over dramatic lol. i was very sleep deprived. and I should work on making these a/n's shorter*
