twenty eight ➻〝turn the page〞

two years had now passed ever since donghyuck died. mark had became a very different person. after he graduated from college, he built a company on the land jaijin had given him. he poured all his time with his work that when he goes home, he'll pass out by the couch next to his son who had been waiting for him to get back home and play with him.

❝c'mon bro, you need to turn the page of your book! live life again. stop mourning over donghyuck's death, two years already passed and all you do is work and mourn over your past lover's death!❞ lucas, mark's new found best friend and an employee in his company, said over the phone and mark scoffed.

❝yah, wong yukhei, do you wanna lose your job?❞ mark jokingly said. 

❝mark lee, at least have some fun while you're still young like me!❞ lucas whined which made mark laugh and shake his head.

❝no yukhei, i'm not like you. just go to disney land with your husband and son next week, i'll give your excuse letter to our ceo.❞ mark said as he smiled at yijun who was had been staring at him ever since he picked up the call from lucas.

the older boy huffed loudly for mark to hear it. ❝you're not funny at all. you're the company's ceo you dumbass.❞ lucas said before ending the call just like that.

❝daddy, was that uncle sushi?❞ yijun finally spoke and mark nodded as he paid for the ice cream he bought and gave it to his son. the two then went out of the ice cream parlor and just strolled around the park.

it had been so long since mark had spend his time with his son. all he did was work and neglected his son but now, mark had promised himself that he'll make time for yijun once in a while after getting visited by donghyuck in his dreams and scolding him about how he was overworking himself to the point he's unconsciously neglecting his son.

as the two strolled around the park, mark had been too busy enjoying the time he is spending with his son that he accidentally bumped into someone.

❝i-i'm sorry.❞ mark quickly took a low bow at the guy he just bumped into.

yijun looked up as he heard his daddy apologizing to someone. he looks at the guy his daddy just bumped into and he dropped his ice cream on the ground as he was so shocked to see who it was. ❝p-papa..?❞

the baby quickly hugged the guy's legs and cried. ❝papa!❞ the baby shouted as he tightened his hug on the guy's legs.

mark quickly noticed how his son just suddenly hugged the stranger's legs and started addressing him papa. he looked at the guy's face and saw... donghyuck?

wait, donghyuck? he's just hallucinating right? donghyuck is dead. D E A D. dead. he was there at donghyuck's funeral. how can he still be alive? mark watched his lover die in his arms.

❝i'm sorry little guy but i think you're mistaken.❞ donghyuck softly says as he didn't want to hurt the baby's feelings. he then looked at mark and flashed him a small smile.

❝no! you're my papa and this guy is my daddy! you two are lee yijun's parents!❞ the baby pointed at mark who's awkwardly standing there as he doesn't know what to do next.

❝you're lee donghyuck!❞ the baby cried once more.

the stranger just chuckled in response before detaching the baby from his legs. ❝no, i'm lee haechan.❞ he corrected the baby.

❝lee do— lee haechan!❞ a female voice was heard shouting from haechan's back. he turned around and saw his 'wife' and child. his baby running very fast with his little legs towards him.
