twenty five ➻〝déjà vu〞

❝lee donghyuck, where are you?!❞ mark shouted as he scanned every inch of the hallway he passes through as he searches for his missing boyfriend. he swears that donghyuck was just ahead of him earlier but then, all of a sudden, he just disappeared.

donghyuck on the other hand was dragged inside their empty classroom. all of his classmates are out, eating lunch at the cafeteria or by the garden with their friends. only him and this girl are the ones inside the classroom. and he'll be lying if he says he isn't scared and confused.

❝listen here hyuck, i'll only tell you this once.❞ the girl said as she heaved a deep sigh before continuing. ❝nari, she's──❞ she was quickly cut off by donghyuck taking a step backwards.

❝woah there!❞ donghyuck chuckled awkwardly. ❝why do i feel like this has happened before?❞ the boy questioned himself as he tried to recall what had just happened.

❝oh wait, is this what's it like to have déjà vu?❞ donghyuck suddenly said which made the girl in front of him laugh. the boy raised a brow at the girl, confused on why the hell she's laughing all of a sudden. ❝minjing, why are you laughing all of a sudden?❞

the girl then slowly calmed herself down and once she did, she then sat down on the table behind her.❝i don't know.❞ minjing shrugged.

❝anyways, back to what i was saying.❞ minjing cracked a small smile, but behind that smile holds a thousand of painful meanings.

❝i'm sure you'll be able to handle all of this sudden information right?❞ minjing spoke and all donghyuck did was stand firmly on his spot. ❝yup, i'm pretty sure you'll be able to handle having your memories come back to you... hopefully.❞

donghyuck then crossed his arms and stared blankly at the girl. ❝just go straight to the point huang zhihao.❞

❝i really wanted to take things slow but looks like you're in a hurry so... fine. i'll go straight to what i want to say... but! i'll not be the one to blame if something bad ever happens to you.❞ minjing said and the boy just nodded, feeling too lazy and tired to respond.

❝well then,❞ the girl got off from the table she was sitting on and started walking towards donghyuck, who keeps on taking a step back every time minjing steps forward, until the boy hit the wall behind him. ❝as you know, i'm huang zhihao, nari's older sister.❞

❝i'll start of by telling you nari's real name,❞ the girl faked a smile. ❝lee nari.❞

❝my sister is just the one and only mommy of your baby yijun. makes sense on how yijun got his surname from, right? you weren't there to sign this contract thingy about having your surname be taken by your son and── argh! this doesn't make sense!❞ the girl groaned in annoyance.

❝okay, just long story short,❞ the girl sighed as she finally decided to take a step back from donghyuck. ❝you and nari broke up. nari lost her mind because of it. nari decided to use mark and had a baby with him so she could pretend that the baby is yours when in reality, it's mark's. so basically, lee yijun is mark lee's son and not yours. nari was a problematic girl alright?❞

❝the reason on why she decided to have a baby was so you wont be able to break up with her since she was pretty sure you'll never leave your baby alone. that psycho had planned everything from the start── before she even met you── when you two got together, she'll always force you to do 'it' with her. how did i know? welp, you and i were pretty close and you tell me everything that happens between you and nari.

then, one day, nari found out that you can't give her a baby. she found out that you're one of those 0.09% boys who can get pregnant. donghyuck, you're just like your hyung. to be honest, i think that thing runs in your family tree.

okay, back to the topic! you broke up with nari days after that since you finally knew who you really are. you came out of the closet and told me that you needed my help to confess to your mark hyung. i said yes and helped you with everything but nari found out about it and threatened me that she'll kill my girlfriend if i ever continue on helping you confess to mark. donghyuck... i-i... i'm so so so s-sorry! i really wanted to help you that time but my sister... i know her very well. everything she says, she does it with no mercy. i-i didn't want to lose m-my girlfriend. i am so sorry hyuckie.❞ minjing suddenly broke down in front of donghyuck. she couldn't hold it in anymore. all the things that had happened in the past, it was all clear and are still fresh in her mind. the girl will really never forget those painful memories. the memories which looks like will never heal.

❝i told you about nari threatening me and you told me it was fine and you could do it on your own. at first, i was debating whether i should really still help you or not but in the end, you convinced me and yeah.

then, the day when you were about to confess your feelings for mark was also the day you got your heart broken. you went to me after that and told me that you didn't confessed to mark because you saw something you shouldn't have... you saw... y-you saw him and your ex-girlfriend d-doing it inside his room.❞

❝w-what? n-no... y-you're lying. i know you're lying to me! stop lying! m-my mark hyung will never let a g-girl touch him!❞ donghyuck stuttered as he fell on the ground, his head hurting from all the things minjing had told him. ❝t-that's not true. i know my mark hyung, he despise nari.❞ donghyuck mumbled to himself as he slowly curved into a ball and let his tears starts flowing out from his eyes.

minjing then sat down on the floor as she tried to remove donghyuck's arms that was covering his face. ❝you remember now?❞ the girl cautiously asked and donghyuck quickly shook his head as no.

❝m-minjing my── ah! m-my head hurts!❞ donghyuck shouted and then memories from the past he had buried deep down in his mind started coming back to him in a flash.

minjing then quickly pulled donghyuck into a hug. ❝shh... noona is here. i wont let anything bad happen to you. i promise.❞ the girl whispered as she rubbed circles around the boy's back to at least make him feel a little bit at ease while he gets his memories back.

and to say that huang minjing is guilty would be funny. the girl was far beyond guilty for what she just did. she had seen donghyuck as her little brother ever since he first came into her life. all the boy did was bring her joy into her life but what did she do in return to him? she had hurt him in so many ways, so many times.

❝n-noona...❞ mark heard the voice of donghyuck inside their classroom. and without wasting any more seconds, the boy burst opened the door.

he entered the classroom and saw what he didn't expect to see.

donghyuck was lying on the ground, his head was on the lap of minjing whom had fallen asleep. it was like he had went back to the past. mark clearly remembers how close minjing and his donghyuck were.

❝why are they together?❞ the boy questioned himself.
