*Love for Allah*

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

The governor of Nahaawind province came back to the hall and asked a question to the Khalifa;
When a person sneezes, is it his own action or is it an involuntary action?
The Khalifa did not like this question and told the governor why he was being asked such a question.
The governor said; you disgraced a governor only because he sneezed and wiped his nose with the sleeve of the robe. This is wrong.

The Khalifa said;
Keep quiet right now, otherwise I am going to deal with you in a very harsh way.
The governor said;
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given me the robe of Insaaniyat, humanity and I have to honour that robe. Therefore, I can sacrifice your robe of Izzat which you have given me. I do not want it. I rather keep the robe of Insaaniyat given to me by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to come on the Day of Qiyamat with this Robe.
He then took off the robe of the Khalifa and said;
I do not want to be your governor either.

He went outside in search of Hadhrat Junaid Baghdadi Rahimahullah, the great Saint. When he met Hadhrat Baghdadi Rahimahullah he told him;
Hadhrat you have been given spiritual blessings and the love of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Please, I also want to acquire the love for Allah from you. Whatever price you ask for it, I am going to give you.

Hadhrat Junaid Baghdadi said;
If I tell you a price for it, you will not be able to afford it. However, if I give it to you for free then you will not have Qadar for it.

The governor said;
Whatever work you tell me, I am going to do.
Hadhrat Baghdadi said;
Fine, go to Baghdad and open a shop selling sulphur.

In those days, people used sulphur. Sulphur is a smelly chemical. The governor did as he was told. He opened the shop. He would get the smell of sulphur and had to listen to the bickering of people while bargaining. He was not used to all this, since he was a governor before. He conducted this business for a year and became Pareshaan.
He came back to Hadhrat Junaid Baghdadi Rahimahullah and said; my one year has passed.

Hadhrat said; you have been counting the days. Go back and continue operating this shop for another year.

The governor of Nahaawind returned to continue operating the shop. He then became used to operating that shop such that a year passed by and he did not realize. Hadhrat Junaid Baghdadi came to tell him your year is over, close down the shop. Your next assignment is to go to the streets of Baghdad and sit there with a beggar's bowl and beg for money.
The governor said; how can I beg from people? It is against my Izzat.

Hadhrat Junaid Baghdadi said; you wanted spiritual blessings and the love of Allah. If you want it then do what I am telling you. If not, then you can go back to where you were.
